First Post
Hi - first time post. Certainly not a road warrior like many here, about a dozen trips a year from COS, some international.
My first question is - which forum would I post to get tips about finding a cheap airfare for my military son who is trying to get home from Hawaii around Xmas.
Thanks in advance...rubicon

Hi Guys.
I just wanted to say hello. I love traveling. Main airport is YYC. Have been numerous times to YVR, YYC, IAH, LIH, OGG, HNL, JFK, SEA, FRA, MUN, OTP.
I am a fan of Tarom, and of Lufthansa. I hope that they will change the a330 to an a340 for Lufthansa 494/495. I am addicted to frankfurt airport. I think it is the most amazing airport on the planet.
Thoughts??
Sorry if i posted in the wrong forums

Hi from German Newbie
Hi together,
being around in this great forum as a silent visitor for a long time, I now finally have my "comming out" as an active member.
Im 32 yo, living in Munich, Germany.
Through my job as a sales-team leader for Hewlett Packard retail business here in Germany I travel around quite a lot.
Mostly within Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but also traveling to other European countries from time to time.
I use to have about 70 hotel stays, 150 flights and 80 car-rentals.
So overall for sure Im not on the top of the food-chain of all of you "full-time frequent-travel-professionals", but its enough for my wife and our 5yo son missing me during the working week.
Looking forward for my new "hobby" here.
Best regards from winterly Munich,
Andy

I am a father of four daughters. I don 't travel much right now. I travelled a lot for two years when I was contracting. Back and forth between MSP and that small MHT.
I am not elite anymore, but have a lot of miles saved, which I hope will still be around when I want them in a couple years.
I am a Mask Design Engineer for LSI Corp, formerly LSI Logic, in Mendota Heights, MN. I made a mileage run in 2005 to keep my elite status in 2006.
I enjoy lurking a lot. FlyerTalk is very entertaining, as well as useful.
In my spare time, I play poker, sing karaoke, and play disc golf. I hope to visit my brother in Hawaii (big island) in a few years and play both disc golf courses there.
That's about it for now.

I log on to the forum today and got a mild telling off, something I deserved. So I thought I better pull my fingers out and post something.
Well, a bit about myself. I think that I am lucky to have found Flyertalk, not only it offer me hours of enjoyment and amusement reading various wonderful postings on a subject I love travel, and the endless useful advice and ideas to make my next trip more enjoyable. It is also the first forum remembers my birthday! It was a wonderful surprise when I receive a birthday greeting in my email. Thank you ([email protected])!
I am very old. Retired from a lifetime of travel financed by HMG (in case you were wondering, it stands for Her Majestys Government) and for my holidays. Now I am retired, I still get a nice trip from time to time doing some consultancy work, mainly on China and the East. My trips take me mainly to the United States, and the Far East, with the occasional trips to other parts of this wonderful world of ours.
I use Star Alliance almost exclusively, as its member airlines served most my travel need, most importantly, it provides me with a refuge (airport lounges) whenever I am on the move. On the whole, I think Star Alliance do a much better job than some of other airline alliance, I have experienced a few others.
I am a member of Lufthansa M&M programme; my preferred airlines are Singapore Airline and Lufthansa.
Best wishes to you all

Hello from Portugal.
Hi!
Just to let you know that I've just joined this forum. I've been an aviation fan for many years, I'm married, 3 kids, 2 grown up boys ( one studying in USA now...) and one little girl with just 4 years old. I hope I can add good information regarding portuguese aviation including historic aviation too. Anything you need I'll try to give a help on that!
I hope I'll stay for many years here!
Best regards
