introducing newmember,is there a priceline for parents who travel w/kids?
Most of the travel we do is with two preteen children in tow. When we've used pricelne without them it is no problem .however I fear what I will run into with all the uncontrollables when we have 4 in our party and need additional beds.We even prefer no foldouts nor cots and need non
smoking.AND NO PETS.
Is there anything like a priceline with ''requirements''?
We had tried other places online and got such a nasty Daytona Beach Hotel we had to pay for another as we could not stay in that one and they had it rated 4 star and it was a 0.We had a [far]less than 4 star in DC when we thought we were paying for one also, neither was priceline as we had the chidren in tow.
Does anyone have any suggestions? The chidren are very neat and well behaved and help us clean the places better than we found them.

If your inquiry is more about online bidding (Priceline...etc), you should post in Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies Forum. If your questions are more about traveling with your kids, you should visit our Travel with Children Forum under Special Interest Travel. I am sure your challenges are faced by other FTers as well.
Take your time to explore this site. FT covers a wiiiide scope of travel. I am sure you'll find a lot of useful and helpful advice/suggestions.
Welcome to FT!

Jumping on Board
Greetings, FT Family. I've been lurking for a while and have learned a lot. Decided to get actively involved.
I travel a fair amount just for pleasure. Returned from Montego Bay a few days ago.
Thanks for the friendly cooperative spirit on the forums.

Lurked for a while and then started posting when I had something to contribute. Thanks to FT for all the advice I have gotten recently.
In August, I started a job that requires extensive travel, mostly short segment stuff in the midwest but an occasional trip out to the home office in Portland. Life got easier once I achieved Platinum status on AA, thanks to the information I got here. I was able to sign up for a Platinum challenge in October and now trying to figure out how I am going to get EXP in '09.
I am in the wine business so I also eat and drink out all the time. It would be nice to meet some fellow road warriors and share a glass or two. Minneapolis, Detroit and Cleveland in January....

Another Newbie
Hi All,
Another Newbie ! Very confused with BA / VA / BMI programs here in the UK, and wanting to get the best deal (don't we all). Regular traveller with VA LHR-BOM/DEL, plus European / UK with BMI. Here to learn - and help others as my understanding improves !
Cheers !

I was on FT a while back and dabbled here and there, and decided to return. I'm still amazed at the number of people here! I really enjoy learning about everyone's travel around the world. I'm soon to be a dual-citizen (US/Irish) and excited about getting a EU passport!

Hi, I'm an older member returning under a new handle since my old one was too revealing of my actual name. Plus, this handle matches the one I use on many other websites. In any case, it's good to be back again and I look forward to sharing travel thoughts and insanity with you all.

Northwest & Delta Merger
Hi, this is my first time being here. I have been a loyal customer with Northwest Since 1987 as platinum Elite. I am little bit concern about the recent merger with Delta? What should I do? Should I stay with Skyteam or any other better Alliance is out there?Alexputh

Hello FTers. I have been a longtime lurker and finally decided to join to take part in the discussions.
I am a former airline industry employee, consultant, and GA pilot/CFI (I guess I am still technically a pilot, although I have not been current for several years).
For a few reasons, I currently do not fly at all at this point (as a passenger), which is ironic considering that I have always been pretty much a commercial aviation geek (I mean, uh, "enthusiast").
I still follow the industry closely, however, and hope I can contribute.
My username is a tribute to my fly-fishing hobby, in which I don't get to indulge nearly as much as I would like.

Hello,
My name is Matthew. I work as a Baggage Handler in YYJ for QX + WS, so I qualify for Non-Rev travel. I try to fly QX at least once a month, even if it is a quick YYJ-SEA-PDX turn. While I do not collect any miles, I love doing the trips and the fact that it costs me very little is quite nice! I've been reading this site for some time and I figured it was about time to register and say hello!
