Who am I
Kathi, living in South Dakota. Application training specialist, travel to hospitals and clinics in the US and Canada, training physicians how to use speech recognition software to do their patient documentation. Love my job but the travel gets old sometimes. However, been home since the 20th and am getting restless.
. My home city has 3 airlines that fly - UA, NWA/Delta, and Allegiant. In my spare time I'm working on an Ode to the CRJ ...
All my travel is for business. Have an exciting assignment coming up in January to Honolulu. Never been before - got my husband a ticket with miles (has anyone found a way to upgrade an award ticket?), tacked on a couple extra free days of hotel with points. Love the points and miles! He's going to scuba dive and play while I'm working
. I'm hoping the nights make up for it

My biography.
I am Lisa, a licensed social worker employed by a non-profit for the past 17 years in the Cleveland,OH area. I am also a Certified Information and Referral Specialist (CIRS), and certified by the Ohio Department on Aging (ODA). I am a volunteer with the Lake County Medical Reserve Corps as a psych social worker. My specialty is working with older persons and people over 18 who are living with mental disabilities.
I have started to concentrate on writing a novel about my childhood. "The House on North Cadillac Drive". I grew up on that street.
I am not a FF, but love to travel for fun. I have been to Israel three times, Egypt once. I have been to LAS three times, Arizona and California once, New England once, NYC three times (a long time ago), Chicago once, visited many Civil War sites in several states. Been to Canada three times. Been all over Ohio and PA.
My brother is a million+ FF. He is a venture capitalist. We are totally different but really respect each others work. I don't get along with my sister and other brother. My parents are in their 70's and well, and are FF. I worked for my father in his business in the 80's.
My wish is to be wealthy enough to do a RTW tour for about a year on my own. At least business class
. Donations always accepted!
My next adventure is a trip to Paris this Feb or March.

Hello everybody! My name is Matt and I live near Philadelphia part of the year and Indianapolis the other. I'm currently a 1K on UA, but will drop to 1P next year. Yea, I know it's crazy with all these DEQM promos going on, but work has been very slow this year and pennies have been pinched.
I just took a new job that will hopefully provide a lot more biz travel next year. Even though I'm in Philly, I'll probably stick with UA b/c US is horrid.
For leisure travel my plan is to go to BKK 1-2 time/year since my wife is from there. That should also help solidify 1K for me, and 2P for her.
I've been on this forum for a long time, including years of reading but not posting. While I'm not as bad as some people, I am definitely hooked on collecting miles & points. I hope to attend more DOs in the future. And I've even been known to do a couple mileage/segment runs.
I have the yellow tag on my computer bag, so look me up!!

Ian from Boston here.... while most people see travel as a painful addition to their job I embrace it (like most other FT folks). My job requires me to travel all over the country and occasionally the world. When I'm not working I use the miles to take last minute trips and sponser friends and the wife to random places. First time 1k this year with many more to come...

Hi, everyone. I'm a dedicated American Airlines frequent flyer, even though they pulled the rug out from under me by closing down their San Luis Obispo, CA base, my home airport. I've worked for a local hospital for 23 years now (yikes! where did the time go?). I started in the Lab and moved to hospital administration, Laboratory management for 3 hospitals, outpatient services, and now HIPAA privacy for 3 hospitals on the Central Coast of California. I recently attended my first Do--the Boo Doo in Andorra. I had a great time meeting some fellow FlyerTalkers and was blown away by some of their experiences. I've still got a lot to learn and I look forward to many years of on-the-job frequent flyer training with you folks.

Corvette Owner
John from Delaware. I don't fly much, but I use a GM card to buy Corvettes. I bought a new one in 2005, and a C7 Corvette is due out around 2012, and every purchase is 5% toward the car. I figure I can get ideas on how to better use the card to build up points from you experts. I read the story in the Wall Street Journal about the coins from the mint.
