Sweet Willie: Is your travel agent someone I could talk to? Those prices are not bad, better than I saw awhile ago. Sigh.

Other than a few properties, Hilton does treat golds pretty decently, it seems.

My FT weekend started on my flight from LAX to NRT when a gentleman arrived, sporting an electric green FlyerTalk tag on his case. He turned out to be rbernheim. Sure enough, the only two FTers enroute to SIN on this particular segment were seated in 15A and 15B.

Favorable tail winds landed us in NRT an hour early, and we headed to the RCC. It is HUGE and it was FULL. I commandeered a conference room - only had to give up my boarding card for SIN in order to get it. rbernheim found new FTers Mr. and Mrs. goodknight who were the earliest to arrive, having come in from Honolulu.

Excellent photography by techgirl meant I was able to spot JSD as he walked in the door with Warrenlm. JSD visited with us before heading into Tokyo for the weekend; Warrenlm was enroute to BKK.

ws8n came off the SFO flight; he is in the process of relocating to SIN. We have pled with him to join us for dinner tonight, but he seems to think that finding a place to live is imperative. mauld joined us for a visit, before returning to her other carrier . mjm will always be my hero for showing up with the most extensive collection of Pockys I have ever seen! mmmmmmm

On our flight to SIN, FTers took over row 15. I met estnet for the first time, seated in 15A. ws8n was in 15B; rbernheim in 15H and mjm in 15J. At last I got to meet generous bseller, who has kindly made his European phone available to other FTers. But where was PeteFLYS? He was supposed to join us from his AA flight in from Dallas. I didn't see him - I hope he is here in town. Me - I had to go back downstairs to 22A, and the goodknights held up the rear of the plane in coach. But I had Pockys to keep me happy.

Once in SIN, we met at baggage claim - looked at each other, talked about drinks - and all found taxis to head to our individual hotels and separate beds. bseller was a gracious gentleman and saw me to the Hilton, before he headed to the Sheraton.

I am to meet transpac for vegetarian Indian food for lunch today; then we've got our chili and pepper crabs tonight. Eating our way thru Singapore? Well, yes - and it's a lot of fun! MikeinSIN, I'm calling you yet today - GuyBetsy, we miss you.

Nice to meet everyone in the NRT RCC! I am jealous that everyone else is in SIN eating chili crabs, but not too much so, as I am enjoying outstanding sushi and okonomiyaki here in Tokyo.

The new RCC is indeed huge and was VERY crowded that afternoon. I guess thats what happens when you have like six 747-400s all departing around 5pm. On a positive note, they now have THREE NRT RCC Amazing Beer Machines operating, so I was quite satisfied.

Arrghhhh....guilty as charged. Sorry, but I had alot of matters to see to over the weekend that has already been prearranged. But here's a promise that once i'm settled in, I'll be more than happy to organise a SIN FT-Do, but that's provided if I stop flying monthly to the US

Any Fter's going to be around on Monday?
I'll be on leave (FTO), so give me a call at 98254725 for some get-together.

For those of you reading this, who have never attended some kind of meet...you're missing out.

Well put, my six hours in SIN on Saturday night/Sunday morning was much fun.

Great to share the beer, chow and the FT'er camaraderie at LPS hawker center.

Man, the withdrawals.............

How much longer until March?

So a few pictures are up here and I look forward to seeing any others that were taken.

I still chuckle at the recollection of sitting in my seat awaiting take-off when the FAs called out in unison from behind,
"Welcome back Mr. Hammer".

Only a FTer.

After we (the 4 SINners seated near each other) were introduced to our FA crew by our famous travelling companion, we all proceeded to get what can only be described as amazing service.

Thanks for the weekend everybody and see many of you in New York I hope.

Mike

And with poor timing, I'm sitting in SIN right now over in Terminal 2, but I know everyone's gone. Ah well, it was better than working from home while the wife's in PDX.
