I'm another SEA-PDX caravaner--sign me up, please!

I'll arrive into SEA on UA at 7:30pm Friday night.

I decide who rides Shotgun with me, so there will be no more fighting. I will inform you of my decision in due time.

Thanks for asking, Matt Wald. The timing of this is sooooo unfortunate. And y'all are starting to know that beer is my middle name. Plus I used to live in OR and need to renew my driver's license. (ha. a Washington joke regarding sales tax evasion. really not true.) That said, there is NO sales tax there so you shopping freaks might want to stock up on your toys.)

Actually, mrs gregseattle's oldest brother is getting hitched around that time so unfortunately we will be in absentia. I suppose the only upside is that I will have an opportunity to pitch Seattle visits to mrs gregseattle's two exceptional single sisters so they can meet their potential SEA soulmate. That is unless he changed teams while in Asia.

I will do my best to represent team VSOI in Wisconsin (that won't be too tough, The town where the wedding occurs has one of the highest bars per capita ratio) and think of y'all. Prosit!

No changing of teams here.

You need help in the bullpen warming up your pitching arm? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

As long as this is a beer thread, and you mention the idea, I suppose a few or three Asahi Super Dry Ichiban's tomorrow night at sushijoint might be a good warm-up exercise.

On the 26th Peregrine will be returning from Bangkok and Viet Nam. He plans to crash at home during the day and then we will drive down to PDX in the evening, hopefully picking up our daughter in Olmpia along the way. We will drive back on Sunday, stopping in Olympia.

We are staying at the Westin in PDX both Friday and Saturday nights.

I think koko's list is only those folks needing transportation to/from PDX from SEA, not a comprehensive list of everyone who will be there at some point.

Gaucho100K Jul 9, 2002 10:20 am

Im trying to rent a car from Hertz.... its telling me they have no cars available for the day Im requesting 7/26.... grrrrr

Does Hertz offer Prestige vehicles at SEA?

auh2o Jul 9, 2002 10:25 am

Hmm. Gaucho - I can't drive, but as a PC with both Hertz and Avis I am guarentted whatever car I want. If it comes down to it, I can rent and Chex can drive.

How's that for passing the buck, Chexy? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Gaucho100K Jul 9, 2002 11:01 am

Too late... I just got ripped off by Budget biiiggggg time http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif (Ive never paid so much $$$ for a Mustang before). Oh well, whatever.

So, I arrive on UA25 at 2100hs (9PM for the 24-hour handicapped) on Friday. Who wants to meet up at the airport???

Gaucho100K Jul 9, 2002 11:03 am

BTW, does somebody have reference rates for the hotels we are staying at so I can at least try not to get creamed again....? Thanks.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I just wandered on this thread. I'll be down there Friday to Sunday. Was able to get both nights at the Downtown Portland Embassy Suites for $65 on Priceline.

If someone needs a lift to SEATAC Sunday. I can probably help you out.
