I am sometime away from 10K posts, but the number of posts does not matter to me IMHO.

And it should not matter here. Doc, you have made a lot of good contributions to FT so that is no "paw swat" at you!

Personally, it would be nice if post counts were "eliminated." That way there's a balance between the "old guard" and "new members."

Over time you find out who the veteran members are (PremEx, Rudi, Catman, etc.)

Just one different opinion. Thanks for reading.

Here I am looking forward to my 1,000th post, and people are talking about 10k?!

I wish they would bring back the 'Evangelist' and other denominations.

Gaucho - I think Rudi passed 10,000 a year or so back.

doc, don't you have anything better to do than to drag up threads of yours that have been inactive for nearly two months? I was expecting that there was a new member to the 10k post club; instead, I was disappointed. Oh, it's only doc.

As is very evident the "fine" personalities of those who post comments such as this, eh?

Does anyone notice that there are some folks that are always seemingly looking for a good "fight?"

Alas, in a perfect world, we would surely need not put up with reading each others posts and everyone would do just as you like! We would all be perfect, just as you two both are! But, FWIW, in case you didn't know, this is a somewhat less than perfect "FlyerTalk!"

Incidentally, you both also may wish to review the FT TOS as well!

Perhaps we can simply skip the scathing posts regarding "posters" and instead stick with the proper topics of miles, points and travel, okay? Have a great day all!

Yes, and I will continue to question why you have nothing better to do but dredge up topics that have been inactive for nearly two months' time every time you do it.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Alas, in a perfect world, we would surely need not put up with reading each others posts</font>
Yes, I'd better get to work on my "FlyerTalk filter" program where I can just block out all posts by people I don't like.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">and everyone would do just as you like!</font>
No, I'd just like you to offer some explanation for your MO.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">We would all be perfect, just as you two both are!</font>
Nobody's perfect. If you believe I am perfect (I'm not going to speak for JonNYC ), you are being a fool.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">But, FWIW, in case you didn't know, this is a somewhat less than perfect "FlyerTalk!" (smiley deleted)</font>
Gee, I actually agree with you.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Incidentally, you both also may wish to review the FT TOS as well! (smiley deleted)</font>
Yes, I particularly liked the part about off topic posts: "Off topic posts take two general forms ... [one of which is]* Posts within a discussion thread that detract from the topic being discussed."

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Perhaps we can simply skip the scathing posts regarding "posters" and instead stick with the proper topics of miles, points and travel, okay?</font>
"Scathing"? Wow, that was hardly scathing. Besides, my post was not one regarding posters, but rather directed at asking why you keep reviving threads that have been inactive for so long and really have little relevance to any current discussion. But perhaps I shouldn't bother, as you just don't ever seem to get it.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Have a great day all! (smiley deleted) </font>
And now you claim to know all?

Actually, subjects like not having a 10K post club, as you no doubt already read, and returning instead to miles, points and travel info! Thanks!

Yes, you folks should review the TOS, asap! After all, surely you don't also want to get a timeout, right?

Oh no, wouldn't want that. Maybe it's better to take a self-imposed timeout instead, if only to escape from the daily drivel... er, I mean news.

With a handful of exceptions, virtually all of my posts have been on one of those three topics: miles, points and travel.

With all due respect Doc (and plenty is due ,) I'd say less than 20% of your's are related to miles, points and travel. ANd that's probably a high estimate. I've given up on Omni and In The News because of what they've become, I hope FT community stays as close to it's stated purpose as possible.

And, FT is a place where I feel free to express my opinions-- no matter how "scathing"-- freely. I hardly think a re-reading of the FT TOS is required on my part based on my post elsewhere in this thread.

Over and out.
