I've met quite a few, but some I'd like to meet-

UnitedSkies (for his or her helpfulness!)

Rudi (you know why!)

Randy Peterson (you know why)

Gaucho100K (for his contest where I won an SWU that put me in C from NRT-ORD!)

Flyingmama *and* Baymomma (for posting all those wonderful contests on the sweepstakes forum!)

AND MOST OF ALL...

GFOWLER-ORD-1K - for his holy awesomeness in ensuring that we all got our 5x miles from UA!! Gfowler is DA' MAN!!!

Still have Flyertalkers to meet!

I have meet several HUNDRED Flyertalkers in my five years on these boards. Some have even become friends.

There are a few I still want to meet:

*Hnechets: I remember you ffrom the early days and would be honored to meet you. Please if you are up NYC way drop me a line.

*Sweet Willie: to get tips on how you are able to get such big turnouts for dinners. Trying to do the same with the NYC crowd.

*The mysterous Idsant, who I know from chat and Instant Message but would still love to meet in person.

*hfly: we have had good talks so I want to meet the real person

All the cats of the Flyertalkers

It was nice recently to finally meet and talk to Spiff and hope to see you soon and gleff (who I'll have to chat with more when I get to DC.)

There's one FLyertalker who've I've meet though who forever had made an impression on me Not naming names

Part of my hesitation to post a list is because there is a danger that a list of "five FTers I'd like to meet" could get misinterpreted or overinterpreted or taken too seriously and become potentially as inflammatory as if I were to post a list of "five FTers I don't want to meet".

It's waaaaay more fun if you all have to guess who I want to meet and who I never want to meet.
I've never posted anything on this thread because I agree with the above statements. It's better if folks' feelings are not hurt if they don't see their name mentioned by someone. JMHO.

I like and want to meet as many people as I can. Suffice it to say that there are a few of you on my highly secret and exclusive list of eleven FT'ers I haven't met before and very much want to meet.

Maybe I'll let you know by "surprising" you with a small and very rare gift to mark the occasion, if we ever do meet each other. (And swear you to complete secrecy about being on the list. )

After I complete it, maybe I'll make another one, and so on. However, I think this one will keep me busy for some time.

I also want to meet many of you I have encountered before (whether you remember me or not).

Random Thoughts on ... an Ode to Alan Malamud

I have met roughly 7 FTers during my two years on the board here. So I will list them first:

1 - CATMAN: pleasure to have been the first person I met when he set up an NYC DO along with
2 - RICH G: fellow entertainment exec
3 - EPERALTOLTERO: the rappin' FTer
4 - DOC: said five words to him at dinner "hey, nice to meet you," because I had to leave early
5 - LING: same as above, though she does smile easily
6 - COZUMEL JEN; same as 5, and 4

However, I have to say my craziest FT moment was with SWEET WILLIE in Germany. We partied for one (long) day at Oktoberfest and have remained long distance pen pals. I can safely say this is one cool dude that everyone needs to meet. I'm still wondering who won his late '03 "dining" contest

I would like to meet one of these days:

1 - JonNYC: because he kicked the crud out of me (post-wise) when I first joined and wasn't up-to-speed on how to do the board thing properly. He did send over a cool picture of him at some Middle Eastern hotel though after we, um, made up.

2 - RANDY: for obvious reasons.

3 - SWEET WILLIE (again) and his wife: Because it isn't about numbers for me. It's quality. This dude can throw down, too. Prost!

My list of FTers I would like to meet far exceeds 5. In time, I am sure I will meet many of these members. I don't list members in any particulr order. I appreciate meeting FTers because there is a common interest that binds us together that most people in my life do not understand.

Until then fellow FTer, best regards.
