Cool PIT DO 2018: Post AS SEA-PIT Inaugural celebration Sept 6-9, 2018 [Alaska DO Series]
This might as well be called "The Alaska DO in PIT 2018" as many of our key organizers will be in attendance.

Many of us will be arriving into Pittsburgh on AS' Inaugural flight, AS198 on September 6, 2018.

New route: Seattle-Pittsburgh starting Sept. 6, 2018

Those not arriving then might have luck getting a gate pass, as I anticipate there will be a celebration of some sort. Heck, when AS started PHL, even the Mayor came out

This flight is scheduled to arrive at 3:53 PM. We'll have time for the meet & greet afterwords. Pre-dinner drinks perhaps?

The Welcome Dinner is Thursday Night at 6:00 PM.

We've also included a spot for coordinating lodging in the wiki.

Sadly the Steelers are not in town. We're catching a Pirates game Friday.

I will not dream of crashing the AS love fest on Thursday, but will bring my AA flying self to any “+more” that may happen on Saturday or Sunday.

Well, sheesh, jump the gun and post it publicly already...

Since most folks aren't doing the AS inaugural, my working thoughts were to do the Do Friday evening through Sunday morning.

-Welcome pre-game dinner & drinks Friday
-Pittsburgh Pirates home game 7pm Friday evening
-Strip District food crawl Saturday morning
-jackal Reality Tour Saturday afternoon
-Dinner and pub/brewery crawl Saturday evening
-Excursion to Fallingwater Sunday morning

But since you posted the announcement, I assume you have a plan all in place.

Do not ...-ume that Beckoa has anything in place. As of last night he was still "thinking about a Double Tree" as his place to stay. Plan away and Beckoa can work with you on the final plans. And, I like your schedule.

If we do group tickets for the Pirates, you might convince me to go, assuming they are still giving freebies with group tickets. LOL, I'm up for at least the Saturday activities, although perhaps the jackal Reality Tour should be the jackal and kipper Reality Tour, since some of us spent 20 or so years there.

We have a reservation for 10 at Meat & Potatoes, 5 PM the 7th of September. This was recommended by @jackal.

It will segway nicely into the Pirates game that evening.
