SInce "Doc" is the board's doc, I guess I can be the board's Shrink. I'm a psychiatrist, now vice-chair of a dept. at a Medical School, but spent the bulk of my career specializing in work with homeless mentally ill folks and the sorts the tabloids demonify. Travle a lot for lectures and national committee type meetings.... and to Asia for an annual vacation pilgrimage

I was a pension plan consultant (trained as an actuary; specialized in the IRS minimum and maximum funding requirements) until I stopped work due to AIDS over 7 years ago.

Now I travel, and can attest that 100,000 miles of "personal" travel is WAY more fun that any amount of "business" travel!

I'm a professional geek, having done random geek stuff ranging from working on ATC-related projects to 3-D visualization,systems/networking contracting, etc. I'm currently doing some work with embedded systems and mobile/wearable computing. I'm an incurable gadget-head saddled with what Neal Stephenson called "The chandelier 'o gear".
Have laptop, will travel.

Professor of Biology,
Univ of Calif, Santa Cruz

I teach genetics and do research on circadian rhythms, biological clocks, jet lag, and all that good travel stuff. And get to use my own travels to test research ideas.

CEO of Hakins Meetings & Incentives, Wyckoff, NJ, which produces meetings, incentive travel, sports hospitality and marketing events for several dozen corporate clients. We're off to Sydney in a couple of weeks to manage hospitality for a corporate sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Committee. How can I ever comply with QF's new 7-kilo over-all weight limit for carry-ons?
