I'm an Information Systems researcher/analyst/consultant (short: geek. Hopefully Dr. geek by mid-2001 ) and deal with workflow management, process modeling and resource management. I travel mostly for (scientific and industrial) conferences and for meetings of an international standardization body in the field.

My title is Director of Government and Industry relations. My being on the road breaks down like this:

Construction industry lobbyist (state capitols, legislative meetings); and

PowerPoint jockey (domestic and international trade shows and meetings, local association chapter meetings); and

FTer (get-togethers, dinners, drinking binges).
