I am coming into SEA on Friday around 11:00am to have lunch with a couple of friends, so if you don't mind having a 'smug laker fan' going to dinner and pub crawling with you, then count me in! Also, don't forget the martini's on Punki's boat!

The Boeing Plant Tours are held in Everett (45 minutes north of Sea/Tac), and are only run Monday through Friday, with the last tour starting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
Realistically, in order to make the tour, one would have to arrive in SEA no later than 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. and that would probably be pushing it if you had checked luggage or wanted to stop by your hotel first.
If anybody is interested, please let me know and I'll see what I can arrange.
The Museum of Flight, however, is open on the weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so if anyone is interested in that, please so advise. The cost is $9.50 per person.
I am still working with [b]The Metropolitan Grill/b] to arrive at a workable solution for our dinner.
I think I will let the plans for Friday Night drinking develop on their own.
Cheers, Punki

I'm thinking of catching the 4 o'clock to SeaTac ... be in by 4:50. How does 7 p.m. sound for Wild Ginger? And pubbing thereafter??
I've already heard from Catman, who gets in at 6, and Smooth, who gets in early afternoon. That makes four so far.
Oh, awright, newself, you can come too and talk smack for a little while. But it'll cost you at least one beer.
geo, we can't possibily commence a decent pub crawl without ya!
I think we can add Tir Na Nog to the festivities. For a chain it's pretty good. You can never go wrong with a Guinness for a nightcap.

<beergeek> I live in microbrew ground zero, Munich on the Willamette, beervana. Tir Na Nog stands out in city like this, although not necessarily in a bad way. They serve most of the great Irish beers available in America. It's just that the beers they serve aren't microbrews and their properties aren't brewpubs. Tir Na Nogs are good pubs, but they're not brewpubs. </beergeek>

We should call Friday night a Guinness crawl instead of a pub crawl. By the way, do you think that you might be able to find us a few pints of Black Butte Porter? I know that they have it at Anthony's. We could also go looking for Red Hook IPA!
Note to Catman...We need for you to start tasting the great brews of the world and they don't include the names Sam and Pepsi!

chexfan: Tir na Nog participates in our favorite dining program: you'll earn 10 bonus miles per dollar charged to Visa or MasterCard.

In adversity, we have to make do with what we can.
Please have a cosmo on my behalf, sorry I will have to miss this trip.

newself,
I'm not too picky where we go, as long as we hit Elysian. They have outstanding brews, as I was lucky enough to sample at this year's Oregon Brewers Festival.
And I don't think you'll have to go looking for Red Hook. It's almost as ubiquitous in Seattle as Charbux.
Black Butte Porter is a very fine ale. Deschutes' Mirror Pond on cask is even better. One of my top five of all time.
Yes, Catman, I think it's time we upgrade your palate. I know you have a soft spot for Sam's, but there's a gigantic range of beers out there. Sample a few of the better ones and you'll never go back to Sam Adams. Trust me on this. I'm determined to turn you in a bona fide hop head like me.

essxjay...thanks mainly to Kokobrewski's influence at the Yard House in Long Beach last week, I believe that Catman is already well on his way to becoming a "bona fide hop head" like you.
I place into evidence THIS PHOTO of said Cat with newly shaved face, stogie, yard of beer, and babe.
Shame on us for our corrupting influence.
