OMNI WARNING:

Tour of Seattle from the NY Times (Did they possibly hear about the upcoming event? ) and a seeming view from Punki's "boat"

Punki,

You have mail. Mr and Mrs. MileageAddict will be there! BTW, what time are we all meeting?

I am in an internet cafe in Kensington and for some reason I can't update the list so the following people are added on the for sure list:

EPS
EssxJay
MileageAddict and his wife Jamie

AND Neal

I will start trying to tighten dates, times, etc., as soon as I get home on Tuesday.

I can't stand it any longer...I'm going to have to go too. I just finished making my reservations on United and at the Westin.
This is my first FT event. I'm sure I'll fit right in with all the rest of you loonies!

Neal

HEY HEY HEY! No trash talking on the boards. The correct term is sanity challenged.

After meeting a bunch of Flyertalkers, my wife, Joanne, doesn't feel that the clan is too "sanity challenged", so count both her and me in for the Met.

Just an FYI here: I just happened to walk by the Met this weekend and saw that they are renovating the place. I wonder if they heard about the FT gathering there?? But have no worries, they're opening back up next monday (8/28).

Newself shamed me into it this past weekend (that I do need the miles helped a little):

30SEP UA607 DCA-ORD 9:00-10:00
30SEP UA351 ORD-SEA 12:05-14:34

Dinner (HUZZAH!)

1OCT UA942 SEA-ORD 9:45-15:39
1OCT UA816 ORD-DCA 17:30-20:27

As Ozstamps might say: This is going to be the FIRST, biggest and best FT gathering in the American Northwest that takes place on a September weekend in 2000 EVER. I'm really glad that I came up with the idea for this!!!!

Where are people staying (besides on Punki's boat, that is)???????

Thanks for the advice, Geo, but $255/night is a bit rich for my blood.

How about helping me choose one of these:

Hilton Downtown: $158 or 20,000 HHpoints (executive - BUT NONE AVAILABLE)

Homewood Suites Downtown: $134 or 25,000 HH points (select) 206 Western Ave., West

Hampton Inn Downtown: $89 or 25,000 HH points (select)

Facts:
I swore I'd never stay at another Hampton (but I've been known to overreact).

I'll be in town for about 18 hours and in the hotel for probably less than 7 of those hours.

I'll get Hhonors points from any of these.

Whaddya think? I'm leaning toward paying for the Homewood Suite. Anyone wanna sleep on my sofa in the living room sat. night???

Well I just checked and they have a $134.00 R/T from SFO to SEA (Internet Sale Fare) which is awful tempting. Punki thanks for the e-mail to Linda but she still won't budge, says she's not a big boat fan. I'm still working on her so we'll see. I'm also checking on rooms so I'll let everyone know if I find any deals.
