Wow, can't believe I missed this thread. I will be in Seattle next month and love the Met and would like to see a bunch of you. Who's running the show for getting reservations at the Met?

As I mentioned a few threads back, I will gladly volunteer to take care of reservations. However, I need a confirmation list of who is definetly coming. Send me an email if you know for sure. I will wait until 9/10 to make the reservation for 6pm on Friday, 9/24.

Jeez can we do all that in two days !! I will bow to the masses, but I vote for the Tillicum dinner Saturday and a cruise to downtown Sunday.

Geo1004 is out (unfortunately...).

It's my nephew's birthday. My sister would shoot me if I flew to Seattle to eat at the Metropolitan Grill (even if they do have Stag's Leap Petite Syrah on the wine list...). I'll be there in spirit.

I'm sorry you can't make it Geo1004 but maybe in honor of you we can all share a bottle of Stag's Neck or your favorite wine and toast you in absense.

I'm hoping that someone wants to go to the Metropolitan Grill because I hear the steak are so good there. I will go with whatever the consensus is, but can someone take me to the Met Grill??? PLEEEZZE!

It's so nice to see, for a change, a European listing six wines, all from CA and none from France- even considering the circumstances! I've come to expect a list of six fine French wines!

Punki,

You mentioned dancing . . . as in swing dancing?? I'd be totally up for that.

Samantha, Yes, yes, yes to swing dancing. There are a lot of fun venues with a live band at the Seattle Center until 11:00 pm and the Ballard Eagles goes on until 2:00 am on Saturdays.

Any other dancers? Wanna be dancers?

Unfortunately, I cannot make the get-together this time. Not sure where I'm going to be at the end of Sept. If I happen, however, to find out where I'll be (waiting on a new assignment from work) & it's before 9/10, I'll see what I can do. For now, though, I must be a no. Hope you all have fun & I will at least be there in spirit.

Rudi: that is a VERY kind offer. It is funny you should mention the Stag's Leap SLV Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, Warren Winiarski, 1994. I received several bottles of this wine from a group of old high school friends for being the last remaining bachelor in our crowd (I'm 33)!!! I promised them I would save them for celebration of my engagement (which at this point is nowhere in sight).

Omni: Someone PLEASE take Catman to the Met. Grill!
