Punki:
That sounds tremendously fun. Any other takers for 8/21 weekend as the proposed date?

Hey! No fair...I'll be in Philadelphia during the week of 8/21.

I was thinking of some time after Labor Day...perhaps mid-September. This would give others more time to make plans.

Anything is cool with me if I'm in town. If we want to include a sail, however, the boat will be in the San Juans from 8/28/99 through 9/14/99, so the first available weekend would be September 18 and 19. Isn't that the RED/GREEN show? The weather stands as good a chance of being decent in September as it does in June, or July. (I love Seattle )

Another date would be fine. Punki, you are correct the Red Green get together is 9/17-19. So, that date would be no good for me. Any other proposals?

Note as Catman has posted the UA SEA specials have deadlines. The other matching airlines probably have similar deadlines.

How about the very next weekend? September 24, 25, 26? Dinner at the Metropolitan Grill on Friday, sailing over the weekend. Sorry Punki, I don't mean to invite myself....aw heck, sure I do!

I checked the planning calendar and I'll be busy the last weekend in September (25/26)

Once everyone figures out a good date please post it as my better half and I are planning to visit relatives in Vancouver, B.C in either late Aug or Sept sometime. Sounds like a great opportunity to meet everyone and a great excuse for a weekend in Seattle.

Cheers Scott

Can I come up? I'd love to meet some fellow FTers? Sept. 24-26 sounds great to me.

Sounds like some time during the weekend of September 24-26 is going to be the official time frame.

How about Saturday evening at the Metropolitan Grill and plan for some other activity on Sunday? Any other restaurants or activity suggestions?

Why do you always plan stuff when we can't come? We need to stay close to home the end of Sept. waiting for the arrival of our 4th grandbaby! Have a great time.

Ok, September 25/26 is cool with us. At this point it looks like we'll be in town. We will schedule sailing for Sunday noonish, leaving from Elliott bay, cruising around downtown docking for a late lunch at Anthony's, and/or walk about downtown. The Met Saturday is ok with us. Let me know who is planning show up and I'll try to figure something out.

Anybody interested in staying on the boat? Let me know by e-mail. It's a very enjoyable Seattle experience.

Just priced a PDX-SEA ticket for Sept. 24-26: $68. I couldn't drive it for less, so count me in. Looking forward to meeting you all and to dinner at the Metropolitan Grill. I've heard so much about it.
