A second line lookup
Thank you for coming! It was a new place but the same great DO. Special thanks to our guest honor from ithaka that gave us so many great memories over the years

Overall the group did a decent work...

Decent work

Maybe even in acceptable standards 😂

A little Jacquesson vertical of 738 and 740

The 2006 horizontal line

I'm sitting on 2 Comtes. How'd they taste/perform? Will you link to the Champagne menu?

Thanks again for putting this together. It was my first one and I sure hope it won't be my last!

The '06 Comtes is of course an outstanding wine. I took little sip of it (twice, though) to allow others to enjoy more. It is in line with my previous tasting of it: Great floral nose, nice orange, spices and lemon/citrus. Cristal taste, great finish. It does need decanting, imho. It got better over the evening. The pierre moncuit 2006 was a surprise of the evening in terms of QPR and quality. Did not stand shy of the Comtes. The '06 Deutz stood very well. Both on its own and against the '02. I think it drinks above its price range. Very good '06 line up, pleasure
