You mean like Champagne fatigue that was discussed in the past?

Erez, I brought that awful Rhys Alpine Chard.

weather forecast ... who cares. We'll have fun no matter what. One or another way we usually make it

Those forecasts are less accurate than ... (avoiding some smarmy comment that will be bleeped) ... even a week out.
I just make sure that I can extend my trip before I depart, as I did 2 years ago. It was my first blizzard. Yay. However, this dinner, not being in Manhattan, would have made attendance impossible for nearly everyone 2 years ago.

I fully expect to see you!

Hi, Sorry but I'm not going to be able to attend, maybe the next one. Happy New Year to all and enjoy the bubbly!

Trying a grower Champagne that we have never tasted, info says 100% Pinot Noir:
Marie Courtain "Resonance" Extra Brut, NV

frantic is bringing a Vilmart & Cie Grand Cellier Brut NV.
Eastbay1K, dhammer53 and cfischer like this.

As I figure out what to bring... why not? maybe 2004 Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année, or 2006 Deutz Champagne Cuvée William Deut. I did not see so many rose bubbles yet. We will need to do something about it I think

Hmmm. Maybe I can stop by on the way home, time permitting.

I'm pretty sure it is this one (link). Can you double check me?

Is this the one ? I think I got the label right, but just in case...

If you know your intentions regarding the wines, please let me know (even via pm) so I can prepare the list. Ideally, also post here :-)
Still having thoughts? would be great to have more bubbly rose. Would be super to pull that Salon 1996 from your cellar ;-)

Still debating on whether to bring a champagne (Jacquart Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Mesnil, Jacquesson 740, or pick something else up this week) or a dessert wine (Quinta do Noval 2007 Vintage Port, Taylor Fladgate 2007 LBV Port, or one of my non-Port dessert wines). Right now I'm leaning away from champagne, as there is already a Blanc de Blancs and (unless I missed it) I see no other confirmed dessert wines. DL - could you list all the wine selections to date in an early post when you get a chance? Thanks!
