Glad to hear the good news. So how much did the embassy charge you for a 1 year passport?

Just got me Eventbrite registration with all the tickets. Do I need to print these out or is there already a record of what I have signed up for?

The State Department did a pretty quick job of sending me a full-sized replacement once I got home, though. And travel insurance paid the whole thing! So I actually got another four years on my passport for free.

If it's anything like the US consulate in NZ, it's the same price as a regular passport ($110?). Save your receipt, because if you send it along with your "fake" passport once you get home, the State Department won't charge you for your full-size replacement.

$135 now, Visa, MC, dollars, or Euros. You do get that coupon for a free
renewal, if within a year of the issue of the temporary.

Salutations all.

I am on BA0992 out of LHR at 10:55. Whilst I am planning on sipping some Champagne in a relaxed fashion in the Flounge prior to departure, knowing myself like I do, I'll probably end up frantically running for the gate looking frazzled and harried. Obviously, I must enjoy the rush on some messed up, false jeopardy kind of level.

Booked at the Westin on Saturday night. But, as I like to treat my hotels the same way I treat my airport arrival, I am booking Thursday and Friday right now. Hilton has a Flash Sale going on at the minute ... just in case there are any kindred spirits who have yet to book ...

Just boarded AS108 into 2A for my 1st of 4 segments to TXL. Eventually will arrive sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Captain just admitted to being a vampire during his announcement in the cabin (from row 1) "can't wait to get home so I can hang by my feet"

Bit warm onboard. Glad I've got my shorts on!
