Hi there, I assume that we may have a language barrier. FTers are a friendly group to one another. I cannot tell by your remarks what you are looking for. There are Air/Train/Bus Options Bus being the least expensive. Here is a link about Train http://nagoya-info.com/5603/cheap-sh...aka-and-tokyo/

Yokohama-Nagoya are stops on the line..

I think its best that you do some research to find out the best options for your schedule and budget. We are mostly a group from the USA and have limited resources except for the Internet to plan our journeys. Safe Travels

Well. The Night Bus is about 4 hours and 3,000 Yen each way.. Thats the least expensive that I saw.. Not sure if this is accurate either:

How does a Foodie Izakaya sound for Saturday night to you? Some of us arrive NGO at 19:05 Saturday Evening the 25th.. I am leaning that way for now. As to the cultural event on Sunday (plans will be wider that day), as it the common day most of us are in NGO that day..

Itin & a couple questions

I have a couple questons and my itin is below. Staying at Nagoya Tokyu on Sat and Hilton on Sun & Mon.

So I'm planning on jumping off on the return at YYZ to do YYZ-EWR ..... will I be reunited with my luggage at YYZ or do I need to keep it carry on?

How do I credit this to UA miles? I wasn't seeing an option to add UA FF mile number .......

Scored a 10 hour layover in Tokyo on the way back, liking it.

What to do when we are there? A meal and/or a tour is always a good plan. ^

NGO DO 10/25 9:30 PM Chicken Wings and Beer at Yamachan

The People of Nagoya really enjoy "tebasaki" (Nagoya Style Chicken Wings). When one asks about these "wings" the purveyor of popular choice is Yamachan which is an "izakaya" (Japanese Pub, with lots of small plates to eat and drink)

Seems that several of us arrive NGO at 7:00 pm that evening. So lets start off with an Izakaya Experience at Yamachan Saturday 10/25 9:30 pm.

Sekai no Yamachan (Nagoya Nishiki)
3-1-9 Nishiki, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture 460-8679, Japan
+81 52-971-0521
(Very Close to Hilton Hotel and the Fushimi Subway Stop) (Nagoya Nisiki is between Sakae and Nagoya Station areas) (Central to where we are all staying)

Please let us know if you will join us. I will Update this Post with the RSVP's

You claim your checked luggage at YYZ, clear Canada Customs & Immigration then go to your cnx. If you do carry-on, you still need to clear Cdn. Border Services at your 1st point of entry.

Also, you need to pre-clear US customs before boarding your flight to EWR. Allow 15 minutes..........less with NEXUS/Global Enrollment.

I'm in for a Foodie Izakaya on Saturday night. I'm one of those arriving NGO at 19:05. I am also on AC 1 on Friday, so I assume I'll run into many of you in YYZ.
