Cool EF Saves the day

So excited, leaving tomorrow morning to make my way up to ANC.

Another lucky score for the trip. My return is booked GST-JNU on K5. I had AS Choice award JNU-KTN(10 hour stop)-SEA-BOS. Checking last night there was Saver F&Y on all segments except KTN-SEA.

I posted on the facbook page with some wishful thinking that saver would open on KTN-SEA. Well sure enough, although my Expert Flyer alert never triggered, i check EF this morning and its W=1 on the flight. I get all excited and then..... nope, AS website cannot find the space .

I called up AS and agent thought she saw the space but the system was sayng no. She casually mentioned ticketing desk so i convinced her to put me on hold and to check with them. 4 min later she came back and she said they were able to manually put it together. Now instead of Choice Y coach i'm paying 5K more and flying in saver F ^

I am sorry but I won't be able to join you all in Sitka and for the ferry ride as I have some pressing work that needs to be taken care of.

Have fun!

Do we have a headcount on the Juneau BBQ yet?

And should I have the hot tub ready?

(Speaking of liquor, if anyone coming stumbles across some VERMENTINO wine down in 'Mericuh would you consider bringing the host a bottle, or two, or four?!?! ^_^
It would appear that I'd arrive Saturday morning and leave Sunday morning... I am flying space available on Alaska so it's a YMMV but hope to be able to confirm soon.

Clear blue skies here in PSG with a morning temperature of 59 degrees. I'm crossing fingers that luck holds for the next week!

Looking forward to the BBQ! Thanks for hosting. What time are you planning on us, more or less? Let me know if I can bring anything, or if you need any assistance with organization/preparation. See you this weekend!

Service was in and out. It was snowing when i arrived in Barrow. There was a locally based tour company doing greetings at the airport and I approached them to see if they had room. Sure enough got a ride to the new and improved "Top Of The World" Hotel and went on a 5 hour (turned into 6) tour of the City and surrounding areas. Went very well for a spur of the moment decision

Im back in Anchorage now. For some reason i'm wide awake and i have to get up in 5 hours to get repacked and catch the 8am flight to Sitka via Juneau
