I hope there will be a few FTers on that flight. When oliver2002 first announced the Do on FT there were more than 6 seats available on the flight. Within a day or two there were only 2 seats left and I got the last but one seat.

Here comes another one!

How could I ask you regularly if you are finally planning something and then miss all the fun?

Happy to report that the first batch of 20 for Airbus is full. LHT is at 18, the cruise is at 12

Of that price123 is tentative and Fassy+1 is looking if work allows it.

Updated the list in the first post... the LHT tour is now about to close: I can bump the number of participants to 22, and have 20 on the list so far, with price123 as a maybe. I'll open a waitlist for that, in case the raffle winner wants to join.

The Airbus tour is now at 20+, so I have confirmed (and paid 280€) for the first lot of 20, with the option of a second batch of 20.

The Park Hyatt is about 400.-€/night, so I just saved a room with a flexible points booking at HI for me. If the majority would choose a specific hotel with a lower rate than PH, I could cancel that.

Hafengeburtstag seems to be a pretty pricey weekend to be there.

Here is an update to the program details (date updates/activities) as far as the Dahl Fundraiser is concerned (in case it motivates you to participate!):

Winner and I will tour LH Technik Hangar 4 and/or 5 and 7 (the A380 house) on 8 May. These visits will include climbing aboard A330/340, 744 and 748 and A380 aircraft as available for an up close/behind the scenes look at the aircraft. As part of this, we'll visit the LH Engine shop. Lots of walking around the ramp areas as well. If time and logistics permit, we'll visit the LH Cargo ramp as well and maybe board a 777F if one is available.

Additionally we'll pay a visit to the 'Secret' FRA airport Archives in Terminal 2 and take in a large museum quality collection of FRA and airliner memorabilia. If the winner is an Avgeek with a camera, we'll pay a visit to the observation deck in FRA as well as the Affenfelsen viewing area located next to Runway 18. Winner will spend night in Frankfurt Airport Sheraton and fly to HAM at 10 or 11a for the Junkers ride on 9 May

Saved a room at the HI as well (by points). It is well connected to the city and the airport by public transport.

As Oliver said, hotel pricing situation will be tough in HAM during the event weekend.

Updated the list with further participants. A 'w' in the LHT column indicates the waitlist candidates.

Great rate, sadly no Hyatt points on my account...

Another good (considering the prices for that weekend in Hamburg) deal:

Will stay in the Radisson, 330€/night for Deluxe room incl. breakfast for 2 adults... but matched to ~155€/night through the BRG. Found the room at hotels.com 9/5 - 11/5 for 415€

Beware: No more non-smoker Deluxe rooms. They are only available as Smoking Room. Non-smoker Business class is still available.

Could you please shed some light on this? Is this using the new C&P rate? PM if necessary.
