I have put together a small programme around the JU 52 flight winner in the current Jason Dahl raffle that is open to all FTers.
Friday May 9:
Lufthansaflyer and the raffle winner visit LH in Frankfurt and fly to Hamburg (HAM) to board the JU52 flight over the opening parade of the Hamburg Port festival.
Saturday May 10:
At 11am, we get a special 2 1/2 hour tour of Airbus in Finkenwerder (XFW) including the assembly of the A320 series and the final finishing line of the A380.
The preliminary booking is for 20 to max 40 participants. Cost per person for this will be 25-33€/Person (depending on the final number of participants (ie if we have 40 the cost is 25€, for 20 its 33€ each) Note the minimum age for this tour is 14 years.
The afternoon is open for participants to roam about and check out the various attractions. I'm planning to go see the Miniworld, if the weather is fine I'll try and visit the various events of the port festival.
At 7pm we board a sail yacht for a dinner and drinks sailing down the Elbe rive towards the sea, turning back in Blankenese (near XFW) to observe the port festival fireworks. The yacht returns to port at 11.30pm.
The dinner cruise costs 105€/Person and includes a bubbly welcome drink with fingerfood and a full buffet dinner.
Sunday May 11:
At 10.00am (exact timing TBD) we will get a 3 hour tour of all that LH Technik has to offer in HAM: the VIP Hangar for the private jet fittings, the overhaul workshops, the large hangar and a small present to remember the visit. This tour is limited to 22 participants, the cost of 640€ (ie 32€/person) will be picked up by LH. Note the minimum age for this tour is 16 years.
All events are optional, if you want to join us you can sign up for any or all event(s).

Most of the details are still in the air, but I'm busy figuring out a neat programme in and around Hamburg (Germany) for the weekend of May 8-11 next year.
Events start with a JU-52 flight for the winner of an upcoming raffle over the Grand Arrival parade on the 825th Hamburg Port Anniversary.

There are some seats available for JU 52 rides over the grand departure parade on the afternoon of sunday May 11!

Keeping in mind that Hamburg has beautiful locations that make every frequent fliers heart jump:

I'm sure we will put together a nice programme.
So mark your calendars!

We'll be starting the Jason Dahl Scholarship fundraiser event in the first week of January - Winner gets the JU-52 ride and something nice in FRA before heading to HAM! Going to be quite a weekend!
