Thanks thewayofthefuture for getting me redirected. Friendly group. No wonder I thought they were a family. Sorry I couldn't linger for wine. Next time, I hope.

I had a last-minute issue, but thanks for the invite anyway.

Have to see when/where the next will be.

March 14 is the next date I was targeting actually, so you can pencil that in for China.

You can pencil us in for the 14th as well.

Read this yesterday and was thinking Dongbei cuisine sounded sufficiently hearty for the weather we've been having:

Will try to catch up with this group in April.

I'd be down for the China meal, as long as it's not hot pot.

I paid a quick visit to Flushing last night and am now leaning toward one of the banquet halls for dinner on 3/14. I need to go back out there today or tomorrow and scout a few more of them to see which would best suit our goals, and will then make a reservation and report back here.

After an evening of location scouting in the rain and slush, I've made a reservation for 20 people at Mulan in Flushing (Qns), 7:00pm, Saturday, March 14. Twelve seats are still available.

Banquet menu, or ordering a la carte?

A la carte. I couldn't find a place with a strong enough banquet menu at a reasonable price point.

Mulan March 14 looks good for me. Please add me to the list. Easy location right near the 7 train too.
