I must confess that I did forget which thread this was and just went about my business with SFOTerry in the usual way.

But I still did not get an answer to that question.

I think it stands for "Mostly Lazy Bozos All Steroids game" :)

@Sweet Willie: sorry for last time. This time around, you can have your pick.

Also, I am planning on bringing two handguns that I got in Nebraska earlier this year. My old man wants to see them and we plan on going to the gun range on Ft. Bliss for target practicing. Anyone interested in being crack shots, let me know. It will probably be either that Saturday morning or before.

(yes Willie, I did have both guns in my car when I was at the DO on Touhy Ave. And, yes, I did inadvertently violate Illinois laws for not having an FOID, but there are federal safe passage laws that covered me anyways. :D)

This is not Switzerland or Baden-Württemberg. You are going out to the Wild West. Eating Mexican food, shooting guns, and sh*t like that is what they do there.

That's just the warm up. We'll clean up Juarez before we leave.

And after you do that, be sure to stop for some chocoflan to bring back with you.

Well, the only legal way to carry guns in Texas is by concealment and with a concealed carry permit. Openly carrying is actually not legal in that state, so you shouldn't be too shocked to see a stunning lack of "hip irons" out on the streets of El Paso.

However, Nebraska and Virginia (where I recently moved to) actually allow unfettered access to open carrying of guns. And people in both states do exercise this right.

In any case, I did not get my first gun until this past January. I never had one while I was living in El Paso for 19 years. :-)

Has any DO had an activity at a firing range? El Paso was a unique choice to begin with so why not have a unique event.

Does what you did in the koi pond count as firing?

You certainly aimed and shot...

Hey, I'm up for it. I am planning on going to the Ft Bliss Rod and Gun Club for practice.

Although that range has no rental guns available, I am willing to loan out mine. I have this gun as a .380ACP and this other gun as a .45ACP.
