I'm not too high on going to Mexico right now.

I know that jfe is perfectly content to stay north of the border as well, a fact that certainly complicates the chocoflan situation. :p

My dad is completely pissed off at me, because I won't venture south of the border, and that makes the chocoflan situation almost impossible

Maybe I can make one..............

Hasn't he heard the news?

I wouldn't wasn't my kid venturing into Mexico for something as frivolous as chocoflan.

No, my dad lives south of the border, and is mad because I won't take the family down there ;)

In the likely event that the 250 guest bedrooms in the mansion are already selling out with FTers, which hotel(s) would you recommend? (Marriott or Hilton and associated chains preferred)

I like SPG better.

If you look at my programs, you will realize that Hilton/Marriott will be better choices ;) Actually, HGI is probably the best since they have free breakfast on weekends and Marriott does not.

I have reserved the Hyatt Place at the airport (another with a really good breakfast setup). There is also a full service Marriott nearby which was OK the times we stayed there but the talk is that it has gone downhill. I would prefer the Hyatt since these are very reliable and consistent (and with an $89 AAA rate) but I am flexible and if everybody has decided on another, I can adjust.

I've been to many cities in Mexico and I felt safe...
TIJ/SJD/CUN/MEX/GDL is my experience
Never been to CJS though.

Juarez is in the middle of the trouble and jfe has some interesting tales to tell of the times that his company had him coming in to their office down there.

My guess is that if they had not let him out of coming in there, he would now be working for a different company.

I've crossed from SAN to TIJ just to get tequila.
And another Mexican passport stamp.
Why wouldn't you want to go there?

Cholula has given some good reason right up there.

However, we figure that if you would like another stamp and to see another Mexican city, you can go over for us and pick up the chocoflan and everyone at the party will consider you to be the hero.

That is, if you actually do return.
