If we want somewhere new, I've been hearing good things about Bayou and about Lincoln. The latter looks more bar / snacky stuff than actual meals.

How about a real Happy Hour? We've not done that in quite a while.
Though I've not been myself, I've heard decent things about the Pour House, at 319 Pennsylvania Ave., SE (about 4.5 blocks from the Capitol South station on Metro's Blue and Orange lines), which has rail drinks for $4.00 and Miller Lite and Yuengling Drafts for $2.75 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. And the Wednesday night specials are burgers for $5.00 (regular, cheese or veggie) and $3.00 pints / $12.00 pitcher of Yuengling from 4:00 pm to close.
If the great weather continues, and someone knows of a place with a decent outdoor area, that would also be something to consider.

That said, I'd be more than happy to place an order for my friends coming in from outside the beltway.

I'm proposing the Pour House, at 319 Pennsylvania Ave., SE, close to the Capitol South Metro Station, but open to other suggestions.I haven't selected a time, but probably 6:15 pm or so, to give those who are interested sufficient time to take advantage of the Happy Hour prices.
Btw: it'll be good to see you again; it's been a while.

Greg,
I am in with you and the company of our FTers at the Pour House for May 18. I might just walk there when I'm finished that day from work.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast is for rain pretty much all next week.

The Pour House it is. Let's gather around 6:15pm on Wednesday May 18, so that we can take advantage of the Happy Hour offerings.
The Pour House is at 319 Pennsylvania Ave., SE, in the District. The nearest Metro Station is Capitol South on the Blue and Orange lines.
So who's in?

I'm in, confirming from post #128. FYI, if it rains that day, there is plenty of room inside and there is also a second floor bar as well.

Unfortunately I'm out for this one. Heading out early tomorrow AM for a week of fantastic fun meetings in the Midwest.
Just a note about the Pour House (since it's about a block and a half from my office)....it used to be three bars on three different floors. They've given up on that, but it's still three very different atmospheres.
Upstairs tends to be quieter and more sophisticated. There are several "nook" areas that have chairs and a sofa around a table. I like it for a small group.
The middle floor is more along the lines of a sports bar but can get packed fast.
The downstairs has nice long tables in the back that would suit a big group and tends to be fairly empty unless the DC Bocce league played that day, in which case it's full of 20 somethings getting hammered.
