Good morning Prague Do people - I am now officially on the way home and posting from the LH First Lounge in Munich. I do have to admit that I am becoming too accustomed to this type of treatment!

What a great eight days!

Yes, I sympathize! If you are interested in what's on offer on your flight here's the menu.

And some pictures.

The one I used was Prague Airport Transfers: www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk

550 CZK private car or 290 CZK for the shared shuttle. I got a Mercedes SUV on the shuttle ride into town and a nice VW on the private trip to the airport. You can book online or by phone and they operate 24/7. With the private car to the airport I just told them when I wanted to be picked up, so it is completely within your discretion.

I erred -- I used the same one you did and was very happy with its service. In fact, I will be returning to the airport with them this evening.

Well done! I'm still waiting for points credit from the IC PRG. All the LX sectors have credited to my NZ A$(and the little 73xes' NZ A$), but none of us have credit for the BD sector yet.

Mrs adl73x ironically has as yet no credit to LH M&M for any of the LX sectors, nor BD.

Loved the photos from gj83 and the_happiness_store. Looking forward to more uploaded PRG memories soon

Interesting. My outbound LX flights have been credited to my M&M account but not the inbound segments - and LX is supposed to be part of M&M.

I guess I can't complain since I'll get 18,000 award miles for 4 shorthaul segments. ^

So...I survived the strike. My international bus got to Florenc at 11:30 pm. I tried to arrange an airport shuttle with a company posted upthread, but never received a confirmation so I decided to metro it.

I took Yellow to Green. At the second to last green stop the driver shut everything down after he said something in czech (this was at like 12:00:04 am). the drunk mexicans stayed on the train along with an old lady with eggs so I did too (i figured the lady understood what he said and didn't get off).

4 minutes later he continued to the last stop which was full of police, strikers, and press. I didn't take any photos because i wanted to make sure i caught the bus to the airport. It left right when i got to the stop, but per the schedule the next one came right at 12:28 am.

The cabs were all trying to convince us no buses were running, but the Spanish guy waiting with me said the newspaper said the airport buses were still running.

Sounds like you had an "interesting" journey to the airport. I'm glad you got there safely. ^

And the Lufthansa guy at check in assigned me a business class seat without me giving him any kind of story. I gave him my passport and itinerary, he mentioned the wrong flights, told me i needed to check in at Frankfurt, but upon boarding the plane PRG-FRA the gate agents reentered my passport number and it spit out my business class seats!

Now, that is a great way to end a trip! Way to go! Glad it worked out for you since you had to endure Y on the way over!

I am postponing writing to United about compensation. As of right now the LH flights across the pond (and just those flights, not the 4 others) have posted miles, segments, and EQM to my account...~10,000 EQM is more valuable to me than the difference between XY and XC for 1 leg redeposited to my RDMs. If those miles disappear in a week then I'll do something.

I have added some more Prague DO photos on flickr plus a few short videos taken on the river cruise. I wish I'd taken some more.
