If it ends up being a RTW DO, I presume it will be possible to do just parts of it. In other words, only those who were ticketed on the charter could attend the other "official" DO events, but with a 10-day RTW DO, I don't think it's realistic to expect people to sign on for the entire tour of duty + travel time on the front and/or back ends. I would suggest breaking it up into smaller increments, with the ability to sign up for specific blocks of activities/flights.

First one was a blast, count me in for the second. I would like to see part of the DO involve an overseas destination or two as I don't travel much internationally anymore...Asia, Oceana, etc. would be my vote.

Visit to SQ, TG, NZ, LX, SA...Round the world!!!

How was the value for the money paid in 2009 - Yes

How many days can you be away to participate in a DO - One week

How much money will you be willing to spend - Depends on what and where

I so want to be in on this next year! I don't care what I have to do to get off work...beg, steal, cheat, quit, etc.

Star Do 2!! I can hardly wait.

1. Value in '09 - great bang for the buck
2. Avail. time away in '10 - 12+ days
3. Money? Costs were fine in '09. I'm ok with paying more this year depending on itin.

My vote is for a RTW, but whatever you guys put together...it is sure to be fantastic.

I'm in. ^

Cheers,

Great to hear that there will Star Mega DO II ^.

1. My 1st DO absolutely loved it, so yes value for money.
2. 7-12 days would be possible from last week October and later.
earlier is most likely a no go. Need to plan this way ahead.
3. depends on the program.

Thanks already for this exciting news .

I couldn't make the first Star Mega DO. I would definitely be interested in the 2nd if I can fit it on the calendar.

StarMegaDo I was fantabulous, so count me in for SMDII!!!

Value for paid - great.
Can be gone 7-14 days w/ enough advance notice & after September better.
Price - depends on the itin etc. Can pay more if it's a RTW.

Cheers.

2009 was good value, although I didn't actually add it up

- How many days can you be away to participate in a DO
RTW up to 80 days

- How much money will you be willing to spend
Whatever it takes

--Value
Excellent value, I had an awesome time.

--Time away.
Depends on the time of year. I could do a day or two more than SMDI, but it seemed just right.

--Ability to pay.
like to keep it reasonable, I could do a little more.

(Please no RTW, some people (ME) would have to roll in Y)

14 days it too long away from work at one time for me, so no go if that is the case.

How about doing something like 7-9 days, starting in SEA and going to some Boeing tours, then down to Florida and then Brazil for some Embraer? Embraer has a maintenance facility for VIP jets at FLL, and Airbus has a huge training center just off the grounds of MIA.

I know you seem to be shying away from the US, but there are a lot of options for events here as well!
Also from FLL/MIA it is a nice jump down to Brazil but also a decent midway point from SEA.

Since, I joined FT after the Mega DO, I'm a little in the dark about the actual cost of attendence for the first one. Can you summarize it here? I'm definitely interested. Five business days or less is best so depending on dates 10 days (FRI evening-MON morning) is DO-able.

I just read about the Mega DO in The Gate and started looking through the treads but there is about 2 weeks worth of reading there!
