For those that rent from National, they just posted Last Minute Special rates for next weekend on their website.

I would like to try and get an accurate head count for Friday night if possible. Jack Stack does not take reservations after 5 so I am going to try and get there around 445 and put our name in for about 9 or 930.

Let me know if you will be attending the Friday night dinner. Thanks!!

This is correct. People usually trickle in for drinks from 5-9(City Tavern has closed, so we will need a new location) then we start the show as they say.

It was a little confusing at first, but I finally reconciled the Crossroads address with the Freight House location for Jack Stack.

Now, if only AA will stop changing my flight.

SFOMo and I will not arrive in time for dinner. We sill stay at the airport Marriott Friday night and Harrah's on Saturday ($39 ^).

Soon, we may have to reschedule our return flights from Paris directly to MCI.

I'll be there; I believe Missy, FortFun, and SeeYa will also be in town in time for dinner so you can go ahead and count them as well. I'll need to leave at some point to go pick up Calcifer; how long should I allow to drive from Jack Stack to MCI that night; about 20 minutes?

We're very much looking forward to seeing everyone!

p.s. Don't know if anyone else watches "Food Wars" on the Travel Channel, but I understand a future episode will feature a throw down between Gates and Arthur Bryant's.

I would allow at least 35 minutes to get to the airport. Getting out of downtown to the highway will be the longest part.

And it is true...we will be doing our own "food wars" in KC. Gates vs. Bryant's. I will say before hand...I'm a Gates fanatic!

Expect me for dinner! If I make my connecting flight I will be there ~6:15; otherwise I won't get there until a little after 9:00.

I used Car Rental Savers, which was about $15 less than National. They booked me with Alamo. Caveat: I know nothing about them.

Daily Rate
2 Day(s) @ $13.69 $27.37

Subtotal: $27.37
Taxes and Fees: $28.36

Total: $55.73
