Put me on the mebbe list.
I will relive my brother's wedding bbq extravaganza. If we could all walk into Gates BBQ wearing chiffon and tuxes, it would be oh so memorable.

I just drive it usually, though I have flown it on WN. Last I recall checking the train takes like 6 hours vs. 4 hours driving (and not much less than that when flying when you figure in the airport time). That is dirt cheap though, so I don't blame you at all! (and of course I was just partly kidding since we have plenty of rental car forums for those that like to drive and even an Amtrak forum).

This is a very good sign. From the depths of the CCU at Mass General this guy is showing that he is intent on getting back to normal. We sure do hope that he is right about that and we do get a chance to again sit at a dinner table with him in KC.
At this point, I have reserved the Marriott Crown Center but this certainly is subject to revision. From what I understand, there are quite a few who feel that it is not necessary to stay in town for this Do since there is no Hotel Central and, with one or two exceptions, the venues are not downtown. Need anyone be reminded that the hotels at the airport, while admittedly a good ride in to town, are considerably less expensive than those downtown?

I usually can get a good price by using Priceline for a room downtown on Friday night. Others have stayed by the airport and been just fine. The Crown Center area is definitely the most central for the first night festivities. On Saturday, everything is a little more spread out.
