I'm not sure what to think about this. It's possible that the chat CSRs can see your SM history, which would be strange and a little disturbing. It's more likely that some of the chat CSRs have access to whatever is used to request matches, and can see past attempts/requests/whatever. Either way, it sounds like we shouldn't assume that each match request exists in a vacuum. If you get denied too many times on the same card, it may well be worth letting it go in order to not raise a lot of red flags and draw too much attention to yourself. I had about decided that 3 requests per card would probably be my limit, and now I'm convinced of it.

I've only ever been denied a bonus match once, and that was years ago. I decided that it was worth the risk and kept asking (via SM), and on the sixth attempt they granted the match.

That's the correct math match that everyone is getting.

If you would have asked for match to 75k, you would have received 15k :)

Citi online account for personal Plat MC used to have mile tracker showing the bonus miles and how much you have spent out of the minimum to receive bonus. Do they show it anymore? I am not seeing it, just the available total AA miles in AA account.

- Had asked for bonus match (60 k --> 75 K), got standard letter mentioning "our records do not indicate you were solicited for the offer you mentioned....." Just trying to make sure they would still give original 60K bonus after min. spend meet. Welcome letter did mention the bonus.

You can ask for the match again; it got routed to the wrong department.

Definitely don't claim that you were solicited for the offer (I'm not sure if you did). Just that you "heard about" or "saw" an offer.

Requested an additional 15,000 miles to match the offer I saw of 75k miles (my card came with a 60k offer). Put in request via chat, was told that the request would be submitted to another department and they would send me a snail-mail.
