Transition-Related Notes
• Members are starting to receive Priority Pass Select cards in the mail. These are sent by Collinson via USPS, separately from the rebranded Prestige cards.
• There was a decimal rounding error in the ThankYou point accounting on October statements. Remove a 0 from each of the totals reported - it should then match
• Members who signed up prior to 10/18 still only receive a $250 airline credit for the year; if you previously used the $200 incidental credit, you can get another $50 in airline purchases reimbursed through December.
• If you signed up before 10/18/14 you are eligible to receive the 15% discount and companion benefits for a year after your signup date. Call Citi at 877-288-2484 and ask to speak with a travel specialist, rather than letting them send the information to Spirit Incentives for an email quote. There are mixed reviews as to the efficacy of this service.

If you want to be safe, you could buy two $100 airline gift cards to begin with, then add another $50 or more after 10/19/2014.

Did you get the new or old card design?

Alternatively, check out the Southwest fare sale, or matches from other carriers: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milea...k-matches.html

You probably only have a couple of hours left, though.

I still have one companion ticket available. Sad to waste it, though...

If I recall, if you applied for the card this year (I believe it was some time in March 2014) or more recently, you get until 10/17/2015 to use it. If you have held the card longer, then it expires 10/17/2014. I've had the card since February 2012, though, so I'm out of luck it seems. I don't want to "manufacture" a trip for the heck of it, but I'm tempted to price out some weekend/turnarounds for next year.

I think they are terminating the contract with Spirit Incentives, so I don't know how can they manage to book after October 18. I was just told 2 days ago I could book until 10/31, today they told me only 10/18.

T&C for the changes states:

Effective October 19, 2014, this benefit will no longer be offered. You will have until October 18, 2014 to book your companion ticket, through our travel service provider, for travel completed by October 18, 2015. If you became a Citi Prestige cardmember after October 18, 2013 you will have a year from the date you became a cardmember to call 1-877-288-CITI and book your ticket for travel completed by October 18, 2015.

The same is true for the 15% discount. Do you guys think the conditions (lowest fare possible, no true multi-city, etc.) will stay?

The supervisor followed up to tell me the card is made of carbon fiber, based on a training today that explained the material. Looking forward to it.

That sounds quite nice! Should weigh less than the "STAINLESS STEEL" gimmick too.
