Has anyone redeemed for a large ($1K+) mortgage payment recently?
I've been cashing out monthly with BestBuy cards, but am thinking I might try a few mortgage checks now that things have settled down a bit.
I'm wondering if calling in to request the check puts any additional eyes on your account. Does the TY center have access to all of your transactions, or do they just see your points total?

I bit the bullet and put in a request for 1K late last week. I got the shipping confirm yesterday but don't have the check in hand. I was going to slow play it, but I just went for it. If it goes w/o a hitch I am going to clear out the rest in a month or so (about $600, but could be a bit more since I have the 5X FWD card).
Most of my points are left over from the old TYP 5X for six months card on everything from 2012 and re-occuring FWD spend. Once I clear it out I am going to try to product change my old TYP to a Dividend card.

I would definitely urge caution on redeeming for mortgage checks. Seems that was one of the triggers for a swath of shutdowns back in May, and I would hate to see everyone start doing the same thing again and it get ruined again for a bunch of people.
This is an absolute gravy train. Hit the spending hard if you want, but stay away from cash redemptions.

But if you go to your order history and click on the card in your previous order, it takes you back to the order screen for the BB cards.

Here's something new... anyone encounter something like this?
On 9/5 I took a screenshot of my point balance, which at the time showed 442,799. Between 9/5 and today, the only point activity that has occurred in my account is +925 points earned through my Citi checking account. Yet my point balance shows a total of 432,814. So rather than increasing by 925, I have decreased by 9985, even though I haven't redeemed any points since July. There is nothing in my point history backing up this reduction in point balance.
Unless there was previously a mathematical error that they now fixed, I can't imagine the explanation for this. For obvious reasons, I don't want to call, but this sucks, because that's worth >$100.
I'm due to have another 80k posted within the next day or two, so I guess I'll know soon if something is really amiss.
