Citi's contract to issue Hilton co-branded cards ends in December 2017. Citi will sell most accounts to American Express. The criteria for determining which accounts are eligible to be sold are unpublished. Read Hilton FAQ: http://hiltonhonors3.hilton.com/en/e...-card-faq.html

- Earn two weekend night certificates - at select hotels and resorts - after making $2,500 in purchases.
- Enjoy Hilton HHonors Gold Status as long as you are a Citi Hilton Reserve cardmember
- Annual Fee: $95, not waived
From the app page:
"Weekend Night Certificates offer is not available if you have had any Citi®Hilton HHonorsTM card opened or closed in the past 24 months"."Weekend Night Certificates offer is not available if you have had a Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card account that was opened or closed in the past 24 months." (Language change to "any" dates back to August 2016.)
Some datapoints indicate that the certificates are emailed ~7 days after the statement in which the spend is met, but others datapoints indicate that it may take 1-2 additional statement cycles before they're actually sent.
The certificates expire 12 months from the date that they're emailed to you. Your stay must be completed on or before this expiration date.
Yes. Some people say they haven't been asked for them, but it's much better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.
No, you have to call the HHonors department to book them. Even regular Hilton reservations cannot book them, although they can transfer you to the right department.
Several people have reported successfully churning this card, and receiving the certificates for both cards. Closing one card before applying for another doesn't appear to be required.
You can still get as many as you want of the Citi Hilton 50k cards (except that CITI only allows two cards of any type every 60-65 days).all 50k card offers without 18 month language dead as of 7/5/15
This seems to be YMMV. Some people have reported not getting it until well after their AF payment is due, while others have reported getting it in time to cancel and have their AF refunded. More data points on this are needed.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday night, and I don't think there are any blackout nights (beyond the normal HHonors program rules). Here is the description from the Cert as well as the T&C's:

I emailed Citi today to confirm I spent the $2500 and they gave me a number to call if the certs don't show up in 6 - 8 weeks. 1-800-548-8690
They said the certs get mailed to the email you have on file with HILTON NOT the email you have on File with CITI.
To the person who asked about booking the free nights for another person I always use my dads points ( and plan on using his certs) and just add my name to the reservation online.

AF posted April 28th, same day the statement closed. Paid AF immediately. May 28th statement closed, anniversary cert posted May 29th.
Conrad Singapore was $220 night for a $95 annual fee which is good, but not spectacular. Of course, the $10k spend also got us another free night in Bratislava so there's that. I'm happy with the card, and we'll probably get another one in a year to have 2 annual free nights after paying the AF on both.

I booked my dads 2 free nights today and although you can add additional people who can check in online I asked the girl to add my sons name ( me) and the main reservation shows my name and my dad HHONORS #. We are both Daimond so I don't see any issue concerning on sire benefits

Weekday usage of award certificates?
Has anyone tried and succeeded in getting Hilton to honor one of the weekend certificates for a weekday stay? Weekdays are usually cheaper, so I'm wondering why they won't let me use a cert on a Tuesday and said it's Friday-Sat only.

In general, hotels have higher vacancies on weekends than weekdays, thus the terms of the certificate. It's easier for them to abide by those terms than to give someone decision making power to waive them when logic might indicate it is in their interest to do so.

I applied and was approved for the card. I got the overnight approval letter yesterday, so absurd. Any idea how long it takes for the card to arrive?
Oh btw, the card is for my wife and she didn't have an HHonors account yet. I created one and the link to apply for the card plus the $100 voucher appeared on the first page after sign up.
Edit: If you go through the booking process on your HHonors account, on the payment page in the lower right corner, an image will appear with the $100 statement credit which you can click on to apply for the card.

Hi,
I applied Citi Reserve card June 2015 and just got billed for the second AF on 6/23/16. I also met the $10K spend for the free anniversary free night bonus. Any idea when I will receive the free anniversary night? If I cancel the Citi Reserve card, can I still keep the free anniversary night? or will they take it back?
Thanks!

Q. Can you get the anniversary free night bonus without paying the annual fee, or do you get the free night bonus only if you hit $10,000 in charges AND renew?
A. This seems to be YMMV. Some people have reported not getting it until well after their AF payment is due, while others have reported getting it in time to cancel and have their AF refunded. More data points on this are needed.

Completely understandable. While it would be more complex, it would be preferable (to me) to differentiate by region: free weekday night in obvious leisure regions (Caribbean, Hawaii, most island destinations), free weekend night everywhere else. I recently stayed Wed-Sat in French Polynesia and was only able to use one of my free weekend nights for the Friday night, which was frustrating considering I can't imagine the Hilton Moorea has much business travel to justify the weekday exclusion. Or they could just drop the ridiculous day of the week restricitons altogether a la Hyatt.

I used mine on both Thursday and Monday before. I think Tuesday and Wednesday are the 2 nights you really can't use it.

Have a question about the anniversary night; the terms say spend $10000 till the Annual Fee Date. Is that the day when account was opened or is the day when the annual fee was billed? There is like a month difference between the two.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Pretty sure it's annual fee date, but check your online tracker and it will tell you the month, and just assume you need to hit the spend by statement cut that month.

I just got my overnighted approval letter yesterday. How much longer after receiving that letter did it take for you to receive the card?
