I am not sure what type of service they chose but it took 5 days to get to Beijing, then a week or so to Chongqing, and a week later it went through a former Soviet Republic, followed by a scan in Moscow shortly thereafter. Makes me wonder what mode of transportation they are using.

This is the first time they've shipped anything between these two locations, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it looks like it'll take at least a month which seems rather slow.

Maybe they have to ship to Russia, then forward to US.

Buying Face Masks and Other PPE from China Just Got a LOT Tougher

By Steve Dickinson on April 2, 2020
  • Is it legal for the company overseas to sell you this product, and will it get government approval to do so? Again, China wants its PPE products (things like surgical masks, N95 masks, and ventilators) going to countries it perceives as China-friendly and it does not want its products going to countries (like the United States) it perceives as unfriendly.

The primary reason for it had nothing to do with masks but they were planning to throw some in that they had.

The whole thing is currently on hold, anyway--I'm not sure what's up on their side but they wanted as much for a 2kg (the biggest they could send) package as was expected for the original 8kg. Huh???

A friends owns a surgical mask factory. She sent us a few boxes via Fedex and it arrived within a week.
