Hello weero - you seem to be the only one here with lack of knowledge and doubt. I suggest that if you want to know more, you can find it on your own.
Best regards, and good luck in your search for information. |

Silly me, since the turn of the millennium, I have never gotten an LH BP issued by LH without the unified stock color. So I was of course hoping you could recall when and where you got that unique BP. |
It's not mine. You can find the owner the same way I did.

I'm not wasting anymore time on your foolish skepticism. If you have such doubt, why don't you find the evidence to prove all of us wrong?

If you tell me that you have seen that original BP, I won't contest it or ask for evidence. And you are at the source of that information, a simple "no" would have been a lot shorter than your dismissive post  . If you have such doubt, why don't you find the evidence to prove all of us wrong? Now given that the Wikipedia entry for the "Secondary Security Screening Selection" states that the SSSS is a US only measure and administrated by the TSA, I feel that mu skepticism is more than warranted. |

This not how burden of proof works - those who assert that some rare event does happen have to provide evidence of that occurrence. Those of us who have never seen it and think it's BS do not. Now given that the Wikipedia entry for the "Secondary Security Screening Selection" states that the SSSS is a US only measure and administrated by the TSA, I feel that mu skepticism is more than warranted. You are going to hang your hat on Wikipedia? |

I prefer to believe what I can substantiate, 'want' comes second, prejudice third.

I hence do not think that asking for evidence or at least examples is unreasonable. |
I have no evidence, but I can guarantee you it happens.
I don't recall if my BP had an SSSS - I was a bit pressed for time when I finally got to head for the gate to board. I couldn't check in at the kiosk, that's happened before. What followed has not. An agent came over, takes my passport, next thing I know, she's back wanting details about my trip. She asked where I stayed and then asked for reservation details and receipts. Lots of back and forth, a couple more agents, then I get escorted to the checkpoint, full bag search, etc. I clear passport control, head for the last document check before the gates and...it's not over yet. Remove shoes, full wanding followed by a patdown (not a grope, a patdown) and my carry-ons completely emptied and run through the xray scanner there in the concourse. I have zero memory of what was on my BP or even when they actually handed it to me. Whether or not it actually had SSSS on it or not, there's no doubt whatsoever in my mind that it was SSSS. It actually makes more sense to handle it this way - ie, don't even let the pax check-in before pulling them aside. There has been speculation that a bad guy in the US seeing SSSS on his BP would obviously change his plans. It really never did make sense to tip a potential bad guy off this way. This was MAD. US carrier. I had recently traveled to IST. |

On Saturday night I was returning to my home in SLC from Rome via JFK. Sadly I was marked as a 'SSSS' passenger despite my Pre-Check status and had the most humiliating experience I've ever had with TSA. I was literally groped by two different women, one in front of everyone (no offer to do so privately) and one behind closed locked doors. I was aggressively touched by women in ways I wouldn't let anyone touch me. It was shocking. Caused me to miss a fight and everything.
I sent an email complaint to TSA, I don't expect and answer from them. Any other recourse? |

Not flying. I've been through that screening probably 200 times by now. Are you sure it's not your emotions getting the better of you? Why did you get a second screening exactly?
Do you believe the male pax who were singled out for a sexual grope by a male screener were 'whiners'? Or do you believe that the TSO inspector who witnessed it in action was the victim of his emotions?? Do you believe those male pax who were singled out did something wrong that you don't do and that's why they deserved to be singled out for the type of groping you have apparently never experienced, not once in 200 times? |
