Sadly, I believe this is the terminal you are thinking of -- once upon a time ago, it was the Pan Am WorldPort.
Pan Am built the terminal in 1960 as a showcase for international jet travel and is known for it's "Flying Saucer" roof.
More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worldport_%28Pan_Am%29
It is a piece of history, but sadly Terminal 3, which was once the Pan Am WorldPort will be destroyed. T3 is still in use by Delta Air Lines, is in need of upgrades, and just can't handle the passenger traffic.
It was operated by Pan Am until 1991 when they declared bankruptcy, at which point Delta Air Lines purchased the building.
Using the T3 US Customs & Immigrations facilities is like taking a step back in time.
Here's a pic of the terminal that I took:
Now, there is the old TWA terminal as well. This is being preserved and is also a piece of history.
This terminal has been designated an NYC Landmark and is being renovated so that it can be opened to the public again.
It was built around 1963 and was known as the Trans World Flight Center. From what I understand, it was always a TWA facility until TWA shutdown.
Here's a pic of the TWA Flight Center that I took from the JFK AirTrain
For those wanting to photograph history, from public airport property, I should note security guards and JFK AirTrain employees will harass you for taking pictures from the JFK AirTrain. Apparently taking a photo of this magnificent building IS a suspicious activity.

If that's the area I'm thinking of, there's some really cool bunkers from WWII there that I remember exploring when I was a kid.
My Blackberry Tour has a 3.2 megapixel camera that I use all the time. I hardly ever travel with my Nikon Coolpix anymore.
Great shots! Even ordinary airports have interesting things to take photos of. MDW has a WWII aircraft hanging in one concourse, and there's a life-size sculpture of Jake and Elwood Blues.
I took these of the old terminal in PIT just a month before the new one opened in 1992. Do you recognize the eagle on the black marble?

This was the inside. One part of the art deco floor inlays was preserved, and is underneath the airside escalators in the new terminal.

Great Pictures, had moved away from Pittsburgh before they built the new terminal. A lot of memories from the old one. I remember as a kid we used to be able to drive under the the main terminal and drop people off right at their gate. That was one beautiful old building, if not so functional as the new terminal.

A sudden spike in the number of persons purchasing tickets to a particular location (e.g., to a country overseas) during a specific time period.
I work in Montgomery County. The cops love to nail people for jaywalking right out in front of my building.

The Montgomery County cops planted a mini-bottle of alcohol on my younger brother when he was underage. They offered him diversion (24 hours community service and a fine) but he opted to go to trial. About a month after the video of the stop was requested, the DA dropped the charge. Guess he watched the video before handing it over.

I took some photos of the bunkers up there last month. Lots of WWII stuff.
There's some interesting WWII history up along the coastline north of SF on driving up CA 1 such as the "gopher holes" that were built for the scanning of enemy ships.

There are some cases when it's warranted.
