Chase's benefit terms include this misleading sentence:
Ultimate Rewards points are earned on The Edit stays. The exclusion applies only to $250 directly offset by the credit.
Any amount above $250 charged to your CSR earns 8x points.
You can split the payment for Edit bookings between cash and points - you can charge $250 to your CSR to get The Edit credit and cover the remaining balance with UR points at a rate of somewhere between 1.6 and 2 cpp. No points are earned when payment is done this way.
Any purchases that qualify for the $500 Credit for stays with The Edit will not earn points.

It seems like every IHG booking post ~12/25 ish now automatically shows up in my IHG account without needing to manually contact the hotel, which is a win in my books.

That's possible, but for some reason the posts I've seen had the experience like mine - here's one albeit for a rebooking of the Edit but nevertheless the meter did move while the charge was pending.
Either way, it's great that the meter is now updating for everyone while the charge is pending.

No need to wait before rebooking. Smooth implementation, Chase.

In December 2025 I made a prepaid Edit booking for a NYC stay in May 2026. Received the $250 Edit credit. I now need to adjust the reservation (start and end the 2 day reservation one day earlier). Anything I can do to just change the reservation dates rather than having to cancel it entirely and then rebook?
And if I cancel and rebook, will Chase clawback and I will forever lose the $250 Edit credit from 2025? Haven't seen DPs yet on Edit reservations made in 2025 that are canceled and rebooked in 2026.

Ill say this is a potential drawback of using the previous year credit for a future year booking. That said, I booked a hotel for 2026 late December as well, so Id be in the same boat if I end up needing to change. I dont expect to, but truth is you never know.

I am on a similar boat. Booked a January 2026 hotel stay with 2025 EDIT credit, the EDIT hotel price dropped by around $100. I did not rebook for fear of losing $250 2025 credit. The EDIT price is about $100 higher than Stars so the net EDIT benefit, as compared to Stars booking, is only about $50.

Had a reservation where it looks like I was double charged the resort fee. It looks like they rolled it into the taxes as the reservation was $1400 with $380 in taxes in a city where the hotel tax rate is 12 percent. Called Chase Travel and they told me to pound sand and dispute the charge. Has anyone else been successful in fighting this?

Were you double charged at booking or charged again at the hotel?
Screenshots? Did it say resort fee was included as part of your booking?

Glitch in the system?
Just an FYI. I booked a two night stay at an IHG Edit hotel for August this year and I received the $250 Edit credit, $197 IHG credit and $300 travel credit for the stay. The two night stay cost $497 total. Does it matter? Not to me, I will be doing more than enough travel to have used all of the credits. It might to someone only booking one trip. I didn't expect it to apply the travel credit to that stay but it did. Just wanted to let everybody know.

Anyone else having an issue getting the Edit credit to go through on their travel reservations? I booked a 3 night stay at an IHG Edit hotel on 1/2/2026 and the IHG $250 credit posted 2 days later but the Edit credit still has not posted. Called CS today and they gave me some run-around that it might take 6-8 weeks for the Edit credit to post. Waiting 2 billing cycles for a credit to post is unacceptable!
