In April 2020 Chase criteria for approving BUSINESS card applications became more stringent. All Chase INK products are business cards. Chase also issues co-branded business cards for United Airlines (2 different biz cards), Southwest Airlines (2 different biz cards), Hyatt and IHG.
For general information about applying for Chase cards, including explanation of the unpublished 5/24 rule, please review the Wikipost of the PERSONAL card thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...ds-2023-a.html
Anyone can apply for a business card as a sole proprietor. If your business has a registered company name, which Chase can verify, you may use that name to apply. Otherwise, use only your legal First and Last name as the business name. Do not add any extra words, do not use a made up name. If Chase cannot verify the name the application will fail.

(888) 269-8690 - Business Credit Card Application Status Line, automated
(800) 453-9719 Business Credit Card Reconsideration Line with live rep
(800) 453-9719 Credit Reallocation Office (Business cards)
(888) 622-7547 Executive Offices

Note: The automated Status Line often shows no record of business card applications. This does NOT mean that there is a problem with your application. You will need to contact Chase to learn the status, or wait for Chase to contact you.
You can use a single Username on chase.com to manage both Business and Personal card accounts, but you will initially need to set them up separately, and then telephonically ask customer service to combine them by merging the Personal account into the Business account. It cannot be done the other way. Once personal account is merged to business account, if all business cards are closed while keeping one (or more) personal cards open, online access to all cards will terminate and a new personal (online) account will need to be created using a different username than previous personal account.
Update: It is possible now to link Business and Personal accounts online. First set them up separately, then log into the Business account and follow this click path: Icon at the top right that looks like a person -> Profile & Settings -> Account Settings -> Manage Linked Accounts. Then look for the "Link relationship" option for the personal accounts. For more information on linking accounts: How to link Chase personal and business accounts?

The recon rep said something about I could ask for reconsideration again within 30 days of this application, anyone familiar with trying again on the same application? I just don't know why they would deny me at only 1 open Ink unless it was "5"/24.

Hmmm, the last two reasons seem rather specific. Do either of you have a well-documented business, and robust business deposits with Chase? Or is this perhaps Chases way of indicating that they dont want to extend further credit to a notional business? (Im asking as the owner of a notional business myself.

Thanks for the very useful discussion. I'm planning to apply for the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, for both the 200K points and the perks. But because I've recently been turned down for a couple of cards (one business, one personal) from other firms recently, with the explanation being that I have too much unused credit, I'm thinking of pruning my cards (which I've held from one to ten years) in the following ways:
1. Mainly closing these Chase business cards: United, Ink Business Unlimited, (the old) Ink Business Plus, Ink Business Preferred. I've transferred all my UR points to my Chase Sapphire Preferred.
2. I'd retain my Ink Business Cash because it offers 5X for phone and internet bills and because it has no annual fee.
3. Also close my Hilton Amex Business.
I'd still have about eight cards that I'd keep for various reasons (eg, free annual hotel nights, 2X points for all spending, Amex Plat for its 5X travel, lounge and other perks). About half of these are Chase and about half are business credit cards.
My credit score is about 800.
Does this approach make sense, in terms of increasing my chances of scoring the Sapphire Reserve for Business and other cards?
Thanks for any advice.

You could also just call Chase and ask them to reallocated your overall credit limit in different ways across your card portfolio, including the yet-to-be approved CSRB. As I mentioned upthread, I got a pending review notice, called in and worked with them to assign a new credit limit to each card. The approval came an hour later and the card two days after that. Good luck.

It is not clear if closing cards will help - there is some evidence that suggests it does but contra that Chase is also wary of people closing after they receive the SUB.
Chase will look at total credit allocated and you haven't mentioned what Chase personal cards you hold. But you may want to close one to free up some additional credit.
In sum, I do not see any harm in closing some of the Chase business cards, and then waiting 1-2 months before applying for CSR-Biz. Also use this time to show that you are actively using other Chase cards, though not running high balances which is another red flag.

Chase doesn't care about your Hilton Amex Biz, and presumably that card isn't reported to the CRAs.

For what it's worth, here is my experience in applying for a Chase Business Sapphire Reserve card. This was last week. I have a lot of Chase business cards and a lot of credit. I figured I had about a 20% chance of getting the card. I had frozen all 3 credit card reporting agencies. I applied and was immediately told I needed to unfreeze Experien, then call Chase. I did as directed and was immediately approved for the card. I've seen conjecture that they are approving cards more loosely during the first weeks of the card being available.
As a sidebar. be sure that you lower your credit limits on all your chase business cards to under $150K before July 1 2026. If there is a second person at your home who also has Chase business cards, they look at the combined total. Otherwise you are subject to a tax audit and have to supply an extensive amount of documents to Chase. I was given a massive amount of credit on the new card and suspect I need to go thru this exercise again.

Perhaps this question belongs in the linked thread, but do you think that July 1 is the cutoff date for all customers, or could it be tied to your company's fiscal year? If Chase audits every business account with a credit line greater than $150,000 I think they would need to spread the work across the year.

- Too many active accounts or too much available credit on consumer report
- New Chase business card recently opened
- Business too new

I have never been sent anything via email for Ink cards. I received an email for the Ink unlimited, which I already have one from last summer, I thought they cracked down on having two of the same card? They are sending me a $750 (so 75k UR) offer, with $6,000 in spend to get SUB. Is this a pre approved offer, I never knew Chase to do this like I have with Amex? If I can figure out how to work my p2's referral and in this, and this is indeed a pre-approved offer, this would be a no brainer given that October ends referral bonuses on Ink for gamers.

There is one place to find pre-approvals on Chase's site - see this post:
