Pre-Approved in Branch, not immediately approved. Agent called lending services, we waited for ten minutes for a representative. When she came on, he picked up the phone and I couldn't hear the conversation. From what he told me, it seemed like it had been placed in the Pending limbo that others have experienced, where the application isn't even accessible. However, something about his demeanor made it seem like she had noted the 5/24 rule and that I was denied but he didn't want to break the news to me as we had been chatting a lot about my excitement for the card.

I guess time will tell as I don't believe that calling Recon will help if it's in that limbo.

Seems like recon can't even access those apps. I'm in the same boat. What does the automated line say for you?

VERY interesting

Over 10/24 on personal cc accounts. Nearly PC'd CSP to CSR, via phone with customer service rep, when I verified it was available to me. Nearest Chase office nearly an hour's drive distant. No CSR pre-approval visible through own online account. With 5/24 seemingly enforced for online approvals, I sucked it up and drove to distant Chase office. Banker said I was pre-approved for CSR.

Great news!!! Instant approval with $30K CL, 820 FICO, $100K+ income, already had 5 Chase personal/business cards, total of $70K CL (previously lowered at my request). No CPC relationship or any Chase checking/savings accounts.

Suspect I will be closing my Prestige next year when AF due. Loss of Admiral's Club access next summer and CSR giving 3X on travel means CSR is going to be my "go to" card (except for Ink + Freedom, as appropriate, of course).

Hm yeah, possibly. Looking a little closer, it does seem like the Reserve is actually a bit thinner than the CSP as well.

Just got mine in the mail. Made of "metal", but feels a bit lighter than my CSP. Black of the card is black, while the front has that blue/black gradient.

Also comes with faux-fancy packaging a la Citi Prestige.

Interesting that they switched from Gemalto to CompoSecure for fabing the cards. Probably why it feels slightly different.

Hopefully the approvals from yesterday will go out tonight.

Thanks. I hope that's the case. I tried HUCA like 4-5 times to get it expedited, said not available since it's a new card, said could take up to 2 weeks, and they mentioned standard mail. Hopefully they grossly overestimated the shipping timeframe.

Given the packaging and delivery methods reported so far, I'm willing to bet that everyone approved by today will get their cards by Friday.

Anyone know if Chase refer-a-friend works for the CSR? I enter my info and I get the CSP referral still (and I don't want to refer friends for the CSP).

Interesting little piece of info: if you upgrade your CSP to a CSR, any transactions that were pending but not yet posted will get the extra 1 UR point/$. So if anyone happened to purchase $100k or more of travel on their CSP and it's still in the pending state, you'll definitely want to be upgrading instead of opening a new account.

Mine says that I will be notified in writing in thirty days with a decision...

I don't have my card yet, but tried the last four digits on the refer-a-friend site, and it says there were no offers on it.

Others have weighed them both...both .5 oz.

I'm exactly at 5/24 when you factor in the elusive Diners Club Elite and a United Business Card (which I opened 19 months ago and cancelled in January)

Applied in-branch, wasn't auto approved.

Called recon line. Was told I high amount of credit with chase (67k among 3 cards). Had to move around a few credit lines and then boom, approved. Account now appears on chase.com for me.

800+ credit score, well over 6 figures annual income. Both the in branch banker and the recon line both said I have constantly "charged a lot and paid it off every month", citing those as reasons why I would be approved.

Next plan - transfer all CSP points to CSR, then product change CSP to Freedom unlimited (happy to forgo bonus because I can pay my rent using a credit card, so would love to get 1.5x - and probably not eligible for freedom reserved)

Really happy because I got the CSP 50 +5k bonus a while back, but also was grandfathered in to the 125 annual fee. They usually gave me a retention bonus to offset higher than normal fee, but happy to now be able to skip out of that dance.

Did you request for *Rush* Delivery?

Did this come via USPS or UPS?

I had a CSP from 2015 that I replaced in 2016 when the 2015 version was damaged. The 2016 CSP was also made by CompoSecure.

Quick question about AU's. How soon can I remove them? Let's say I got a card 3-4 months ago and immediately added the AU to get the additional mileage bonus. Can I remove the AU now and not be penalized?

I was able to sneak in (significantly over 5/24) last week with the accidental release of the app on the Chase dev page. I called in a couple times and requested it be expedited but was told each time that wasn't possible and that I would get the card within 7-10 business days. Did not receive any tracking number notification but found 2 UPS packages (like what others have reported) sitting at my door this morning.

That would be great if a UPS package showed up on my doorstep sometime this week.

Thanks for the update.

You would think that given the annual fee this card has and it being "premium", they would automatically UPS it overnight/2nd day without request as a standard procedure.
