one member wrote: AA is now showing gift cards as "giftcard" rather than general purchase if the csr looks closely. Last year it worked for me, yesterday it did not and csr told me that's why. However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017

Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Is roadside assistance available to AUs? It's sadly going away on Amex cards.

How does the annual fee work on the upgrade as well?
I'd like to know as well. My anniversary is in May so that I could plan on upgrading before May if I am going to get a 50K night award in May or wait until after I receive the 35K night award if the anniversary date will reset.

I got an email today to sign up for the JPMorgan Concierge and signed up, but the site seems to be having problems when signing in. Anyway, I called the concierge number and had a chat with the agent who was very nice and helpful. It looks as if they are now able to handle Virtuoso bookings, as well as Marriott STARS, Marriott Luminous and Ritz-Carlton STARS bookings. If that is the case, that would be very helpful.

I had to sign up again and re-input all of my information, but the site now seems to be working.

Is this really for the Ritz card or something else like Palladium? What is the email subject line?

It's for the Ritz card. Sender name is "The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card". Subject is "Anything We Can Help You With?".

I had a lot of initial problems, but finally am able to sign on. It looks as if the back-end for reservations are handled by Expedia, which would obviously not be good for elite benefit purposes. I assume (subject to hearing otherwise) that if one calls up the reservation would be handled differently, at least for Marriott hotels.

The service is run by Aspire Lifestyles, which also runs that for the Citi Prestige card. I have never had problems with elite benefits by booking through the Citi Prestige card and Aspire.

Interesting. I just deleted the emailing thinking it was just one of their mailers. Just signed up today and was able to get in. Let's see how good they are compared to Amex, which I've always had great experiences with except for the fact that I can't email them.

In addition to the usual benefits of a Bonvoy card one would get, among other benefits, a $300 Annual Travel Credit (see thread above for how to utilize), a Free Night Certificate every year after account anniversary for up to a 50,000 point property, three Ritz-Carlton Club upgrades good for up to seven nights each on paid rates, a Priority Pass, and $100 savings on air travel when you use your Ritz-Carlton Credit Card to book a qualifying domestic itinerary through an affiliated site in coach for two to five travelers. Truly outstanding benefits, which are worth well more than the cost.

Plus the “food” version of Priority Pass. I love that benefit.

Is it still also made out of the heaviest material? Also there are ways to get a first year fee waiver.
