I am not sure about Sam's,but Costco only accepts Amex,debit or Costco Cash cards at their pumps

Costco is Amex only. Sams is MasterCard only.

For Sam's you can use MC, Visa, Discover at the pump - no AMEX. I used my Discover card there when they had the gas bonus category and it gave 5%.

I've had luck with 7-Eleven stores selling $500 VGC in my area that codes as gas purchases.

I'm in tulsa as well, the only Gas station VGCs i can find are small amounts which is a shame. none of the Valero's sell them either.

Cumberland Farms is selling variable ($20-$500) Visa Gift Cards with $4.95 fee.

With regular gas buying, plus 1-3 of these, you can easily hit the $1500 cap.

Anyone know of a gas station in the STL area that sells VGCs?

The Hucks on Manchester sells VGCs, but register hardcoded to not allow payment with credit All I could find elsewhere was stuff like MyVanilla and Netspend. Don't really want to have to register an account or anything with those. I want to buy and unload.

Any tips on a gas station in the Bay Area which sell VGC on credit card?

Must be inconsistent, then... I was able to pay via credit card last week at a location in New Hampshire.

Ugh, found a 7-11 near my house that had OVGCs. I took one up to the cashier who didn't speak much English and asked if I can buy it with a credit card, and he said he'll try it and see. Asked to load $500. He seemed to have no clue what he was doing. He swiped the package on the reader in his side, then I don't know what he did, but the itemized list on the PIN pad on my side had "Lotto Sale - $500" and no $4.95 activation fee. I asked him what that was about, he was unsure, so I ended it right there. I was worried I'd end up paying $500 for nothing. Guess I'll need to come back when someone else is working there. This 7/11 didn't sell gas so there was a chance it wouldn't code as gas and give me my 5x anyways.

What's the proper procedure though? Do they swipe the OV package, or scan the barcode?
