On the website when I log in, and in my email in a targeted offer, is the 60,000. when i played that video I also saw 60,000. Is 80,000 therefore out of reach for me?

Use the link in the first post to get the 80k points. If you apply and get the 60k points, then send a secure message to Chase to ask for them to match the 80k offer.

I also received the under review message for this card when I applied a few weeks ago. But when I called the reconsideration line the card was already approved, and I did not have to shift any credit limit from another card.

Just applied with link on first post. Instantly approved. I have not applied for any cards in the last year and already have one other card with Chase in good standing.

No you dont earn points on cash + points - I dont know of any hotel chain gives you points on redeeming cash + points. Furthermore when you redeem cash + points the cash is immediately charged - essentially you are buying points via points.com portal behind the scene and then the redemption is done in points - therefore if you cancel a cash + point redemption you only get points back, you dont get cash back.

they had to lower my limit on my other Chase card, to have this approved.. but I dont know those extra limit on Explorer card anyway.. ^

I just applied. At first I got the "further review" screen. I called the reconsideration line, he said it was under review bc I got the United Chase Card in August and the BA Chase Card in July...both with $20K limits each. I asked him to move $10K from the BA card to the new Priority Card. I was approved and he said I would received 80K points.

A little different experience
Applied using the front page link, then received the 'under review' message.
Phoned the 888-609-7805 number. The agent said the application was 'pending', and I would have to wait for approval because I received a Chase Hyatt card last month.
I asked if she could check again, was put on hold, and then told the application was 'pending' unless I moved another Chase credit limit over, which I agreed to, and was then put on hold again.
Was then told I had already been approved for the Chase Priority card and that there was no need to change any other credit card limit.
Tried to verify the 80,000 points and platinum elite status but was told that will be in the Welcome Package. The agent said I had reached the loan department, and they do not have that type of information and had no way to check.
Will wait to see what the Welcome Package states and go from there.

Just applied for my mother.
Got the Pending notice.
So I called recon @ 888-245-0625
The agent placed me on hold for 2-3 minutes and approved the card.
She also verified that she could see that the bonus offer was 80,000 points.
So as of 10/12/2012, the link in the OP still works. WooHoo!
