Why do I get an offer for 70 k marriott card in my Marriott account when I already had one and just canceled it?

Can anyone be so kind as to let me know the more advantageous of the two offers - the offer which I got in my email (details below) or the 70k offer on FT? Thanks much.

From what I could see the only differences are 70,000 vs 40,000 and a $100 GC. So if you value $100 over 30,000 Marriot points that's the difference.
To be able to compare completely we would need to know if points earning are the same. 1st year waived and any fine print details. If you don't spend $1,000 in 3 months you still would have the GC with any purchase.

I joined about 6 months ago using the 70,000 points if that helps. I already used my free night at a beautiful hotel in Orlando.

Maybe you should wait to apply then, until you know what you plan to use the points for and the value you'd get?

30,000 points will get you into a fair amount of very swanky properties. I think I'd take the points.

Hi Folks. I am an expat living in Hong Kong for the last 4 years. I have tried looking to see how I apply for this or a similar Marriott card (hopefully offering a similar deal) both on the Marriott website and also by multiple search queries on this thread / forum.

The website seems to indicate US residents only, indeed when you land on the t&c page, and also on the application form you are asked to list your zip / state etc which would indicate US residents only.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get a card from bearing in mind my current address?

Sorry for the newb question. I got an email yesterday about the $100 promotion, so I am trying to take a crash course in this...

How long after account approval does it take to get your points? The fine print says 6 - 8 weeks....

Basically I am trying to see if there is any way to use a free night at the end of August. :-/

I just got my confirmation from Chase this morning. They are adding the 20k points to bump me to the new promo rate of 70k points. I signed up in mid-May at 50k points.

On the left side--or anywhere-no credit card offer. I typed in http://prntscr.com/rppr0 I got the 50K offer but no place to change it 70p1ksh.

Aug. 1, 2013 All the links didn't work correctly. So, I typed in
"Change the 50p1ksh to 70p1ksh or click on this link https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/mar...emier/70p1ksh/" I got a message that the offer is no longer valid.

it's still working...make sure you click on the credit card offer first (step 3).

Got to the 70K offer page, but clicking on "Apply Now" goes to "No longer available"
