idk if it is a coding issue on CX's end, but just searching a high frequency route like TPE-HKG yields results in Nov, Dec of this year. All in Y, none in F/J which is weird.
However, long haul route yields nothing in any cabin, even at the furthest end of the calendar in June 2019. When I reached out to CX Twitter about this issue, an agent responded with:
"There was a system update during 22Jun. However, the update should have been completed. If you are other airline frequent flyer program member, you could check with them again. If you're our member, please provide your membership details and we'll can advise Asia Miles / Marco Polo team to follow-up of your request."
I've sent a followup with screenshots asking if they can have their IT dept research if it is a coding issue.

That is not my experience. Both yesterday and today, I have found ample J CX availability searching routes LAX-BKK or LAX-SIN for Asia Miles. The low level "Standard" saver awards may not be as plentiful as before the change, but they are there. 85,000 points each way for LAX->BKK or SIN. I haven't had the time or desire to go checking other routes and a wide range of dates.

seems like the standard J awards are no longer available less then 3 months out, effectively a 55% increase in required miles for the route I was looking at (HKG-SYD).
last minute J availability which I used regularly now only at the choice level.
if this is maintained it's a huge devaluation in the program, hopefully it doesn't stick like when the P1/2 awards were introduced....

Not true on HKG-TPE, i can see ample standard J seats in early July. That said, i am not going to spend 16000 miles one way on such a short journey, let alone those idiotic choice/tailored awards.

Also furthermore there is no prohibition on OW FFPs creating own-program priority reward inventory (AA: saver/standard/anytime) or clearing against own-program waitlists (QF).
