Yup, I mean't the elite security line before, which I would guess is open at that hour because a lot of BA flights depart around then as well. But that also means that at check-in, there could possibly be a lot of J/F BA passengers as well. No BA or IB flights take off in the afternoon, so for me checking in has never been a problem and that's probably why the elite security line is rarely open then.

If I'm not mistaken though, the buffet and the Elemis Spa are open only to BA J/F passengers and CX F passengers. That's what the Elemis attendant told me when I had inquired while waiting for my CX 889 to HKG. Elite Status alone with CX doesn't earn you those perks in this lounge.
thanks !!

I can answer part of my question here...seems spa at BA JFK lounge really not open until late afternoon, 16:00 - 22:00:
http://www.britishairways.com/travel/healthwb/public/
but would need to check in the future whether this is really avail to CX F pax too...if so, could consider it when taking CX 889...

Spa is exclusively for BA pax, you cannot use it when flying CX (or even QF, as JFK is not a JSA station). CX pays extra for pre-flight dining for F pax, but not for anyone else; don't get too excited, this dining is very basic, cafetaria quality food (edible but not like HKG).
The Concorde room has always been exclusive to BA and not shared with OW. Originally built for the supersonic service, and was very nice (with max of 98 pax per day); now it is a much busier and less nice lounge. Somewhat better food but nothing like it used to be (when the Concorde was still flying). So you aren't missing out on too much by not having access. Of course this means that BA doesn't treat their F lounge as an F lounge, hence the dismal conditions there. The recently opened AA FL at JFK is better than the BA F lounge -- rather unthinkable, but that is how the mighty have fallen.

Just want to clarify are there 2 pre flight dinning facilities in the BA lounge. One in the Club World section of the lounge and the other one is within the Concorde Room? There are no preflight dinning within the F Class lounge?
As a F pax on CX you can only access the Club Worl dinning facility?
