Correct. CX pays BA a fee for each F pax to use the J pre-flight dining. This is a separate room at the back of the J lounge, adjacent to the F lounge, and food consists of a buffet, typically with soup, salad, baked salmon -- so not inedible, but a lot cheaper than the CX on-board catering). You get a voucher from CX to give to the BA dining dragon.
