I think people with 1800-2400SP lose out the most, as all the mid-tier benefits are gone, as it wil belong to Diamond executive.
At the same time, I would assume these group of passengers will likely get one year Diamond Ex, then diamond alternatively from the rollover scheme.

2100/2200 may be "motivated" to fly a bit more.
I hope CX has run the #s. But do they care? Maybe no.

LOL at their cut-rate lifetime benefit for long-term Diamonds.. This means they thought about it and recognise the competitive imperative but are too cheap to actually offer what the market demands / what competitors offer.
Otherwise, this is mostly a yawn and probably more of a negative on the whole. Easier status upgrades = attempting to lure people into higher ranks. Introducing DME (or whatever itll be shortened to) could be an big negative for DMs if the soft perks and special treatment of DMs gets channelled only to DMEs.
Rollovers are nice.

I guess it means that any flights from now until the end of 2025 should be retrocredited in 2026 (if travelling in J or can use another programme for accessing the lounge)? Otherwise, those tier points will be lost towards the 2027 qualification. My membership years ends in Feb 26 so Id lose 2 months in 2027 unless I meet the threshold.

When your membership renews or changes in 2026 under the existing membership programme rules, whatever status you hold at that point will be valid until 31 December 2026.
On 1 January 2027, your membership status will be determined by the Status Points you have earned from 1 January 31 December 2026, based on the new requirements of the membership programme.

I will move some bookings to 2026 and use miles to redeem some for the rest of the year.

What happens to the old “Invitation” lifetime members?
They used to get the same privileges as Diamond.
With the new Diamond Exec tier, will they now be classed as Diamond or Diamond Exec?

1) ones current membership period is expiring in Oct / Nov / Dec 2025
2) one already has a relationship manager now and has to renew the benefit for 2026

But I have an upcoming QR flight in Nov/Dec of this year that will net me 170 status points and based on what I've read, I'd have to earn the status points in 2026 so that it counts towards the 2027 membership.
Unless I've understood it wrong?

Ok so in my situation:
I will earn Gold in November, and earn an additional 2-300 SC prior to 31 December 2025.
Even though I will make DM sometime in July 2026, does this mean the 2-300 SC is effectively lost in the requalification for 2027?

I think with rollover announced for 2027, might be able to push them to offer for 2025 and 2026 on a call in basis, if enough people call and ask.
Wondering if the Upgrade vouchers for DM and DME can be used by self or redemption group as well.
Hoping to no changes to other unwritten perks. Guess no hope of invite to any events as DM in HK though.

A quick glance through the FAQ revealed two hidden changes:
1. Starting 2027, actual flight date (not claim date) would be used for retro-claims.
2. Requires at least 2 eligible flights (i.e. CX marketed flights) to move up any tiers.
