Welcome to FT zxcvbnm123987.
Given how verbosely dissatisfied you are with this error, I can only imagine how you'll feel once you get into some of the the situations discussed here...

If it makes you feel any better, QR at Doha didn't even know BAEC Silver (Sapphire) were entitled to use the Business Class check-in rows (Row 3) for BA flights (which they covered). It was displayed on their information screens and I had to take a picture of it and go back to Row 3 for the clowns to actually swallow their words

Appreciate your support. Ive already submitted a formal complaint to CX headquarters and shared the issue on their website as well. Hopefully this gets addressed so other OWR members dont go through the same nonsense.

Wow, that sounds just as frustrating as what I went through. Its honestly shocking how often ground staff arent properly briefed on Oneworld benefits. Glad you had that photo as proof I might have to start doing the same now

Thanks for bringing it to the attention of some of us here on the CX forum. I personally didn't know that Ruby has priority checkin!

Access to J class check-in on Ruby is an alliance-wide benefit on oneworld!

Its the only benefit for Ruby on most airlines! What else do you use the Ruby for?

Got the same thing in SFO last year with CX and ruby.
they did not let me to line up at the business lane, and asked me to use the self service check in.

You should absolutely write in, such that there is a chance for such behaviour to be addressed.

that is against OW policy, you can bring it up with CX and your own program airline

I am sure that every day somewhere in the world, one or more oneworld rubies are denied J check in. It gets mentioned on various forums pretty often. Airlines don't seem to care enough to do anything about it.

Has happened to me once in CTS Domestic when I couldn't use the J check in counter as Ruby.

Airlines simply don't put in enough resources to care when its not their own frequent fliers

and yes CX was wrong. But suggest you don't write a PhD thesis asking for compensation. life's too short. move on.
why so snarky ?
