Got the following email from CX today:
There is a bit of blurb about the new terminal and on the T2-T4 transfer question there is no mention of airside connections:
Your flight to Singapore is the first to operate in the new Changi Airport Terminal 4
Were delighted to be the first in bringing you here. Take a few minutes to see what you can expect in the new terminal and to make your experience more enjoyable.

Transfer from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4: You can get on the airport shuttle at Terminal 2 Arrival Hall door 1 and you will be dropped off at Terminal 4 Departure Hall between doors 3 and 4. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Shuttle buses are scheduled to leave every 10 minutes from 5.30am to 12.00am, and every 20 minutes from 2.00am to 5.00am.

Quick notes on CX SIN T4 lounge
* CX gates 5-7 mins walk way, same direction as when you go from T4 entry to lounge so no doubling back
* lounge has no showers, bar or barista
* CX looking to rotate menu every month to begin, then down to two week cycle, and definitely looking at chicken rice for all-day menu plus kaya toast for breakfast (I have put in additional request for runny eggs)
* SIN confirms no access to T4 without a T4 boarding pass
* Plaza Premium has lounge contract (and CX says no plans to go back to Peninsula for The Pier first class)

I also posted a Facebook Live walkthrough of the lounge on AusBT's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AusBT/)

(P)review of the Terminal 4 CX lounge:

Looks like you won't be able to go to T1-T3 if you are meant to depart T4 and vice versa.
The airside transfer bus will only allow those departing T4 to use it, if you are coming from T1-T3.

I would be sorely disappointed if the current 2 pics in AusBT are anything to go by. Underwhelming as MNL might be, at least there is natural light from the tarmac in the day.
Bummer, next visit will be Dec 11.

There's a lot of natural light down the far end of the lounge - it's a teardrop shape, the skinny bit of that overlooks the gates and airfield so good light in there.
