Beside - people think too heavily on the airline ratings. IMHO - they are never accurate.

exactly
I flew SQ last month and they had no power sockets, no USB's a terrible and outdated tv screen and menu and inedible food- and this was a Longhaul flight.

yet SQ is the most reputed airline in the world and most think it is superior to CX even though CX ticks all the boxes...

airline ratings are just bizarre

Airline ratings relies too much on popular votes and popular votes are bizzare in of itself (see Donald Trump, POTUS).

Jeez are people nowadays started complaining about a 2 hour delay? lol try telling that to the poor lads flying PEK or PVG every other week. Granted CX is slipping further down the ranks but some of the bashing they have got are utterly unreasonable.

But I can confidently say that most do their utmost best to win passengers over.
Would you please quote the exact USA regulations for service and timeliness.
Would you please quote the exact USA penalties if these regulations are not met
Clause by clause. Sentence by sentence.

The USA regulation for "No restrooms" (in an airline lounge) and "inattentive ground and flight crew" is of interest. And others.

The Eu has regulation EU261 on timeless (or lack thereof) due to airline operations.
USA airlines are exempt when they fly into Eu. They would end up paying mega $$ if Eu261 applied to them.

After brexit is finalized, will EU261 be still in effect for flights to and from UK?

The expectation is UK will have its own similar regulation passed into law by the UK parliament. But time will tell.

Why don't they take CRH instead?

99% yes.

Given Switzerland, a non-EU member, voluntarily to adopt EC261, there is no reason why Brexit will affect.

In fact, it is even possible that the U.K. will have a tougher law than EC261.

In addition to the answers above its worth noting EU261 does not apply to non-EU airlines, i.e CX, flying to the EU. Only the departing flights are covered.

This is true except in Canada.

Troll probably hasn't even stepped foot aboard any plane, ever.

AA doesn't fly HKG-ORD.
